I really like the prospect vs prospect concept. Over the years that seems to have fallen by the wayside in favor of protecting the almighty zero. Prospects SHOULD be fighting other prospects with similar amateur backgrounds. That should be part of the normal sorting out process. There is also a time and a place for putting a prospect in with journeymen. Youngsters need to face guys with experience. Take Grady Brewer for example. Grady will tell you the damn truth about your prospect. If you're Jermain Taylor, ya beat him, and learn something along the way. If you're Anthony Thompson, ya get sparked. This is also part of the learning and sorting process. I hope this new show continues to pit prospect against prospect, and balances it out by throwing in a few propsect vs journeyman fights along the way. That seems like what they did last night, and I hope they continue to do that.
Good show and I like the idea about a monthly show on tv for the up and comers. Keep an eye out on Luis Ramos, he will be back hopefully on July 30th on Versus! This content is protected
He's TINY even for a SBW though. They listed him at 5'6", but he couldn't have been an inch taller than 5'3". He also was slow for the size.
i thought it was brilliant.just what boxing needs.rodela really reminds me of corralles just not as good.ramon and huerta were very impressive i thought
I was thinking that Lopez should probably be at 122, and did you notice the arms on that kid. He's awfully bulky. Anway, I thought he was a blast to watch; I love tenacity, and I think the kid has tons of it. time will tell.
That's what I meant. He's to bulky. He might be better off if he could get rid of some of that, and drop to 122.
