a fella in the british forum was doing a bit of work with carl frampton this week and was at the fight.he reckons frampton is a diamond and could be british champ within 2 years
ardy, what move do you think andy lee needs to make after this june 20th fight?very poor calibre of opposition, considering he was on the cusp of a wave after gibbs.really baffleing for me.almost like steward gets more cautious and afraid with every passing fight.cant be great for the lads confidence feeding him bums.
Yea its going in reverse order lee was been talked up before and now it seems manny dosent think he will be wc , if he did he would be stepping up now
Thanks fenian, I searched then found Jeff Thomas[ an ex pro and now a trianer] was the fella you were talking about. Thats high praise coming from him. Frampton is one to watch:thumbsup
Like most of the other comments made on here about Lee's quality of opposition, I am somewhat concerned about it. But Steward is a smart man who has guided legends of the sport, so it's a matter of wait and see what comes next after next weeks contest. Lee on world heavyweight undercard Thursday, 11 June 2009 19:59 Irish middleweight Andy Lee will face Olegs Fedotovs from Latvia on the undercard of the Waldimir Klitschko v Ruslan Chagaev world heavyweight clash on 20 June in Germany. Fedotovs has a record of ten wins (6KO) and five losses (1KO). Lee has spent the last month in the Klitschko training camp in Austria and is delighted to be fighting in his 19th fight in such a prestigious promotion. Lee said: 'I'm really honoured to have the opportunity to fight on the card, it is not every day you get a change like this - the undercard of a world heavyweight title fight in a sold out 60,000 capacity venue is truly amazing. 'Waldimir is a real professional and is an inspiration and role model to me as a boxer in the process of learning my trade.' This will be Lee's second outing this year and he is very keen to get back into the ring to further his goal to make his mark in the sport. 'I am very focussed on developing my boxing skills and this fight gives me the opportunity to gain yet more experience. I have been a professional now for just over three years and I am still learning through my fights and in the gym.' Kronk Gy's Emanuel Steward commented: 'Andy is one of the most committed and dedicated fighter's I have ever worked with. 'He lives a very disciplined life and has always had a very mature attitude in his approach to his boxing career. Andy is a pleasure to be around and work with; he will shine in this forthcoming fight.' This content is protected
