To be fair, the "bodyslam" wasn't anything more than the standard push out of a clinch. Clottey screamed on the ground as if he'd broken his leg, and then within a minute he was bouncing around and fighting as usual. I don't think it was a severe infringment.

He threw the shot to the back of the head as he was turning; he didn't size it up beforehand. It wasn't serious, in any case - it was a punch out of a clinch.

As for Cotto running, gimme a break. I guess Leonard "ran" from Hagler and Whitaker "ran" from Chavez, too?

There were nothing incidents really. Don't know what you're moaning about.

Clottey took a tumble, big deal.

A low blow, wow! Who cares, its not like it was a persistent or blatant tactic.

The rabbit punch...Clottey turned around as Cotto was in the process of punching.

Your clutching at straws with those comments. Watch the 2 instances again and tell me if you still feel the same way.

Matter of Fact Clottey's act after getting tapped on the back of the head was beyond over drammatic.

I don't think the shot to the back of the head or the low blow in the 12th were deliberate. The low blow was a result of Clottey cuffing Cotto behind the back of the head while he went to the body, similar to the low blow against Judah in the third.

However, I think the slam was intentional. Not necessarily malicious, but I felt it was done on purpose to prevent the cut from worsening. Because there were a few instances earlier in the fight where Clottey would clinch and his head would slam into Miguel's. So as soon as Clottey went to grab Cotto, he threw him off in order to prevent getting butted.

..I also like how paulie boy here leaves out Clottey getting knocked down in round 1 and dominated in the corner in round 6.

It's like you learned Fair and Balanced from Fox News...

The poster you responded to is obviously p!ssed at Setanta for ruining his one chance of seeing Wlad mash Haye. Clottey slipped, Clottey turned and that blow wasn't low.

If anything Cotto should press charges against Clottey for hitting him with that blunt object he calls a head!

    Just rewatched the 'incidents'

Clottey's 'fall' - Pathetic. He had his arms over Cotto's shoulders, Cotto simply stood up. Yes, Clottey did get lifted up, and 'fell' but if he wasn't leaning in Cotto in the first place, the incident would never have happened. Yes it is illegal to 'throw' your opponent, but it is also illegal to lean over your opponent. Cotto did not throw Clottey, he stood up as Clottey was trying to hold him down... if anything, Clottey should have been warned. If you recall the Urkal - Cotto fight, the exact same thing happened. Urkal was repeatedly leaning on Cotto and as the ref was letting it happen, Cotto simply picked him up and dumped him on the floor eventually - no point taken, no complaint from Urkal and no complaints from any fans... Cotto was simply showing that he takes no ****. If a bigger fighter is leaning on you and pushing you down, what the hell are you supposed to do? Besides this, when Clottey did hit the floor, he looked as if he had been shot... he was laying flat out on his face. Surely if he hurt his knee as he fell, he would have grabbed it immediately if it was that sore!

Low blow - And? **** happens, Clottey hit Cotto low in the sixth... so what, Cotto just got on with it. Low blows always have been and always will be a part of boxing - deal with it.

Rabbit punch - Another ****ing joke. Regardless of Whether Cotto threw it intentionally or not, Clottey was holding Cotto's arm - he committed the first infringement. To my mind, if an opponent is holding your arm, and the ref isn't controlling it, you have every right to take matters into your own hands. Cotto done exactly as I would have... infact no, I would have hit him in the back of the head, and again when he was on his knees! As for Clotteys reaction to it, this is the guy who is supposed to have the best chin in the class, yet he cries after one punch to the back of his head. That is blatant cheating, this is completely beyond dispute... what ever happened to sportmans honour?

For me, Clottey needs to sort himself out big time. He tried to con his way to a victory, much the same as B-hop did when Calzaghe beat him... this sort of **** disgusts me! Anyhow, Clottey is no angel, the ****er got dq'd for repeatedly headbutting Baldomir, yet he comes out afterwards and demands a rematch... wtf, he butted his way through that fight and paid for it - yet more whining from Clottey. Clottey has got a history of leading with his head, yet he we are calling Cotto a dirty fighter. There is a big difference between Cotto and Clottey - Cotto is a no nonsense fighter who gets on with it, Clottey on the other hand is a dirty, conniving, cheating scumbag who tries to cheat, con and moan his way to victory... boxing would be much better off with more fighters like Cotto, and without the likes of Clottey.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Trinidad was a little bit dirty, especially in the Vargas fight. I couldn't believe how the ref allow Cotto to get away with those tactics. If it were on the other shoe he would have been in Clottey's ass.

Wow, Cotto and Clottey's fans siding with their man lol. Cotto threw more than 1 low blow. Clottey was not thrown down on purpose yet, he is faking his injury lol. The punch behind the head was his fault lol. Lastly, you have a degenerate calling posters a "****". It's the reason why many of you have never tried the sport, yet have so muh to say about fighters lol. When will some of you learn to be objective for once in your lives about this sport.

How the **** was Cotto exposed in this fight? Clottey's defense gave Cotto problems. Thus, it made Cotto look bad.
