i'm trying to understand something here...
with the welterweight picture a bit clearer now, manny talking about a fight with cotto or mayweather later this year, did money may **** marquez over in hopes to get the manny fight and not let cotto steal his thunder....

i remember like a week and a half ago there were rumours that mayweather would pull out due to ticket sales etc etc.....that, and now with manny vs cotto in talks, do you guys think he burned marquez completely out of the picture, or do you think the fight will really get pushed back a few months....

i know one things for sure, he burned my ass now that my weekend in vegas will not be the same....

He is burning marquez out the picture and like you said now that pac - cotto is in the works he is going to try to steal it so he can make the big money before cotto does

nah, i think mayweather marquez will go through, the pac man thinks he has an excellent shot at beating cotto and with cotto's stong following as pac's it will generate big time money.it's also way easier to make(financially) than a proposed mayweather fight.

Mayweather screwed Winky on this deal too. Wright was trying to make a deal to fight Enrique Ornelas on the undercard. That's a good fight for Winky at this point; the calibre of opponent he should have went after before he fought Williams.

    He better not back out.

Whether you guys think this is a mismatch or not, Marquez has earned this fight just as much as Pacquiao...

and IMO, Marquez may be the harder fight for Mayweather. Mayweather fights better off the backfoot.

^ Steal Cotto from Pacquiao or vice versa? Pacquiao and Cotto are both from Top Rank. I dont think Arum would allow this to happen. I mean if cotto loses to pbf then its also arum's loss. If pacquiao loses to cotto, its also a win for arum since its his fighter.

If his "Rib" injury is not legit, he is defo freezing JMM out.
That said, I think team Mayweather/GBP should drop a statement regarding this fight ASAP.
    So Marquez can roll on.

Another theory could be, Mayweather is trying to force JMM Vs. Mosley? instead.
(Cause he knows these dudes don't have any time to waste)

JMM-Mosley might be a good match but I don't see a way JMM can win it.

JMM is just too small and Mosley too fierce a puncher.

I don't think he really burned him or that PBF will look to fight Pac. If PBF wanted to fight Pac he would have done after the Hatton fight with Pac. The contract is signed and if you are the one that was injured I don't think you can just pull out the contracted fight and start negotiating another fight after claiming injury.

Hopefully, this will give Marquez more time to get accustomed to carrying the extra weight.

Depends how long he has to wait...
I know If I'm Marquez who is already prob in great shape now, prob will not wait too long. I wouldn't blame him if he pulls out So as to not waste his work.

Then again.... Money is a a mutha! (Paycheck is really good)

I hope JMM gets the fight, he's a great fighter and he deserves it. Although I see him as an underdog and PBF clearly has the size advantage, JMM will 7 skill alone makes him a very live one.
