Who are you, Cotto's brother? No heart? Cmon man. Cotto gave Clottey his best shots, and Clottey took them all and gave plenty back. Cotto pushed Clottey down, where Clottey obviously injured his knee. Then, Cotto gave him and incredible cheapshot rabbit punch. And, since I was only about 10 feet from the ring for the fight, it was obvious that Cotto was running away for much of the second half of the fight. Clottey fought the last 8 rounds of a fight with Margarito with a broken hand, and survived. Cotto couldn't take the punishment. I love Cotto, and am a huge Cotto fan. But, don't be a blind follower... Clottey deserve respect. He's a quality fighter, and an incredibly tough guy.
Clottey is a master of headbutts he will cut opponents because is his game plan and he is an +A fighter you like it or not.
"2. He is a habitual complainer who never gives credit where its due..........apparently he aint the only one, pot kettle black. Maybe stop complaining and give credit where its due
Clottey is not a bad fighter but he is one of those "high risk - low reward" types. He should maybe fight a guy like Berto.
I respect that!!!! Do you disagree that Clottey's strategy was a psycological one in trying to remind Cotto of the Margie experience? Clottey should have brought more than that to the game!!!!
Clottey is the cheater??? I forgot... he's the one who body slammed his ooponent, then hit him in the back of the head, then gave a low blow...
I'm no fan of Clottey but he's a top contender in arguably boxings most competitive division, and he won 8 rounds against Cotto. Not fair to call him a loser or a B level fighter.
no way is clottey a loser. deserves a fight against williams, margarito - both claim to be the most avoided fighters but here's one that wants the fights.
Firstly, Cotto was assaulted with a Khan fight winning special and did extraordinarily well to even continue afterward, let alone win. Secondly, what push - the cameras certainly did not show conclusive proof? Clottey looked like he was wearing ice skates in the ring and fell flat on his similarity flat face and then feigned injury. As for the rabbit punch, Clottey turne dhis back when Cotto was throwing and then complained. He also complained about a low punch that was hardly low trying desperately to get the ref to deduct a point from his ring savvy opponent. Running my ass! Cotto showed strategy and a boxing brain and kept Clottey at bay whilst beating him on the backfoot, ala Mayweather. Something that Clottey has no clue about at the time and is likley onlly now realising he was bamboozled and outboxed. You see you being 10 ft away is not really relevant when the cameras where in the ring filming from multiple angles and allowing those with a more fully formed opinion the added benefit of flashbacks. Let's face it, the headbutt coloured the fight. However, even without this advantage Clottely would have still been beaten and even more soundly. The fact is he WAS beaten despite having every advantage and opportunity. Time to man up and deal with it unlike Kryton who got in a hissy ft and decided to quit the sport whilst 'crying' to Bob Arum about injustice.
