Floyd Mayweather Ducked Miguel Cotto, Unlike Manny Pacquiao

That's what I'd like to know.

So far, Floyd called out Margarito, Mosley, & Cotto, and they all had excuses and were scared to fight him.

What's the deal now? Why is Floyd giving all these excuses instead of just saying, "I already called out these guys...screw'em!".

 

Floyd and his team of adviser do not get along with arum. this issue has happen before when floyd was going to fight Corrales. Floyd refuse fight corrales and for HOB for what he considered slave wages. Arum suggested that floyd take HBO offer while floyd team insisted he stand his ground. make a long story short HBO folded , floyd beat corrales, and Floyd and Arum relation was strained from that day forward.

right on, I'm into pits too. But damn, he's all squatty...they're supposed to be athletes!! Like boxers!

 

The pitbull lines, has several mixes , the original was a mix of bulldog and terrier. some where down the line, it is said the hound was added to the american version. this may be why you have some that are short and athletic like tarries and some big strong like hounds. but over all they are not huge dogs. some people have cross bread the bullmastiff with the pitbull to give size but I have heard , that it messes with the temperament of the breed.

 

what the **** ever ! both cotto and hatton were both champions at 140 and they were both scared to fight a guy coming up in weight from 135.. How can two guys hold belts in their respected wight class, and be too green to fight a small guy from 135? how can a champ be green ? yet this was the excuse Arum gave everyone when talks of floyd and Cotto came up ..

 

The only reason that Pacquiao took this fight is because he thinks that Cotto is shot! Why didn't he agree to it before the Clottey fight?

 

He did call him out. But Cotto wasn't ready. Is that so bad? I bet if it happened now Cotto would take it for sure. Thing is, Floyd although not ducking some fights, he doesn't push for them AT ALL. He's not in a hurry to make em.

He wants to fight Cotto only if Cotto wins obviously. If Cotto lost, whats the point?

 

This **** is getting old...Floyd haters keep claiming that Floyd is ducking everyone, but then they are shown proof that he is calling out fighters and those fighters are saying they got other things to do, or thier promoters are saying they wont make the fights. Then without any proof He is ducking those fighters just because he hasnt fought them..It takes to fighters to sign a fight. Pac or Cotto fighting each other dont prove that they would fight Floyd. It appears that many think that way. Fighting Floyd is a different story then fighting other fighters, and the fighters know that, which is why they all feel like Floyd is the the best fighter in the world...Its like a prime Jones, no one wanted to fight the guy and peolpe were saying oh Jones is a chicken he wont fight no one good, then once Jones got past his prime all of a sudden he started fighting all these guys. So ask yourself was it a case of Jones not wanting the fighter or the other fighters not wanting the fights.

Pac fans made a big deal out of Him telling Arum to **** off when it came to fighting Cotto now all of a sudden that Cotto didnt look that good in his last few fights they NOW want the fight...Is that a case of Pac all of a sudden saying "Man cotto looks beatable"????

 

It was talked about before the fight and was seriously considered, that's why Pacquiao was at ringside. He accepted it because Arum insisted that it's a good fight immediately at the press conference.

Also, cut the crap with "Cotto is shot" bull****. That's how Cotto always fought, only difference here is he had to deal with a serious cut early in the fight which is why you think he was shot when in reality he was fighting the way he always does, just a bit screwed with the cut ruining it.

 

Cotto did turn down a fight at 140 and 147 claiming he's not ready, that came straight from Arum's mouth who had Margarito as a potential opponent for Mayweather instead back when Mayweather was with him. Go hunt down for an episode of "QUITE FRANKLY" with both Mayweather and Arum sitting next to one another being interviewed about the Judah fight and future fights.

 

I totally agree. Watch all of Migs fight on YT. Show me a ****in difference in how he fought Clottey. He used the jab very well early on, he ****in countered him with a beautiful left for the KD! He was trying to work that body. Clotteys defense was very tight, and it may have given the perception that its not the same cotto since he wasnt tagging him like Margo early in their fight.

Unbelievable! Im beginning to think no one has seen a full Cotto fight.
