Should the Cotto-Pac fall apart and Pac-Mosley is made; who should Cotto fight?

There is Berto's WBC trinket that I'm sure he can be parted with.

There's Paul Williams but I don't think Arum makes this fight.

We have the deserving Luis Collazo. I think the Berto rematch should occur sooner than later.

IMO Cotto won't and shouldn't fight margarito not because I think he will lose to Margo; I just don't think Margo deserves the payday.

There is Margarito's stable mate Jesus-Soto Karas.

I think Cotto has fought most of the top WW. PBF, Pac and Mosley will all be tied up in matches should this scenario happen.

So who should Cotto fight should the Pac fight fall apart?

I liked the Berto and Collazo ideas fine. Williams is a bad match up for Cotto and having him not fight at welter doesn't help either.

yeah. the floyd-jmm fight is cancelled indefinitely. i'm thinking that we might end up with pac-pbf this nov. instead.

Let them stick with this fight, a fight with Mosley would be too risky and might ruin Mayweather/Pacquiao after it.

Well Mosley vs Pacquiao will be the second choice if Pacquiao vs Cotto fall apart then Cotto vs Berto or Cotto vs Collazo makes the obvious sense.

    Chert and H.

I am aware of the JMM and PBF situation. I read boxing news daily. To my understanding the fight has been POSTPONED due to an alleged back injury sustained by PBF which many are claiming is a front for a lack of seats selling at the venue.

The fight was cancelled for the July 18 date but as far as I know they were thinking of rescheduling for some time in September.

Just like when Haye suffered his injury, Wlad could have waited a couple of weeks and continued with the fight if Wlad decided to.

If contracts have an injury clause I am sure it is to protect the fighter that is not injured and could suffer financial burden that was not through his own fault. JMM was not injured and I don't think he will chose to enforce the clause so I think the fight will still happen just not on the proposed date.

Neither of you answered the question that I posed in the opening thread.

I'm not sold on Berto, but the style matchup he presents for Cotto = a six round fight.

Berto's defense is wide open for Cotto's left hooks upstairs, but Berto's uppercuts (with both hands) are explosive and quick. Cotto is so damn vulnerable to an uppercut.

If that fight gets made, then somebody's going to sleep. And it won't be the viewers.

a cotto-mosley rematch would be nice, even if the result is identical
