Most disastrous tune up fights?

    Thinking back to Margarito, it reminded me of the truism that in boxing there are no small enemies. What "tune up fights" do you remember that ended up ****ing up the fighter that was "supposed to" win, instead of helping him to prepare himself for bigger and better things?

    Perhaps Shane/Winky?

    DLH/Sturm?

    Morales / Raheem?

    What about Klischkto / Sanders? Brewster?:hey

    Looking back at the DLH Sturm fight, even though it was not strictly disastrous, the clash seemed to spell doom for Oscar's future endeavors at middleweight. And perhaps he should have heeded the warning.

    Any others?

    Savarese Douglas

    Douglas was supposed to get a multi million dollar rematch against Tyson, instead he was blasted out by Savarese in one or two rounds.
