Dawson would outwork Pascal in a thrilling fight and win by UD.

Pascal needs more time to bring his poise and mental focus to the nescisary level, as well as the practice excuting his particular flowing brand of boxing against better competition. Right now with his significant hieght and reach advantages and his technical superiority I'd say dawson wins a boring boxing match farly comfortably.

    Dawson something like 9-3.

Pascal might steal a few rounds when Dawson has his time outs. Thing is, Dawson neutralizes his best attributes because he's just as fast, but even longer and taller. He'd easily outjab Pascal, that would force Pascal to change up and make mistakes.

Great fight... with Diacanou vs Glen Johnson on the undercard!

This is the other one I could see happening. Pascal has turned himself into a must-see fighter. He still has massive flaws, but at least he's exciting, and HBO or Showtime would love to have a unification fight that promises to be exciting. Plus, Pascal would literally have like zero chance of winning.

Pascal would actually give Dawson a better fight than people think. I mean he's just as fast as Chad and Dawson hasn't been in with a fighter with the same speed he has. He also has enough pop to put hurt on his opponent as shown against Diaconu who has a rock solid chin.

I'm a big Pascal fan, but he has acutally zero chance against Dawson neither Bute for one single reason: JAB! He gives up his jab after 2-3 rounds. However, you can count on Pascal to try to please the crowd.

I don't think Pascal's game is tight enough to deal with Dawson yet (and he may never be, it's just too soon to know for sure either way)...but with his handspeed and pop, he's got the potential to exploit Dawson's defense if he masters the straight right, particularly a lead right. Chad has lapses when he fights where an orthodox fighter with that tool can take advantage of it, similar to what Glen Johnson did.

As of now, I'd give it to Dawson by about 8-4. It would do Chad's profile a world of good to take on an exciting young fighter like Pascal and pull out that kind of performance.

dawson by wide UD and possible stoppage. pascal was caught way too many times by a plodder and would be in vs a faster and more complete boxer who does know how to finish.

Dawson in a good fight. Chad has to be happy about this, because now he could fight an opponent in Canada for good money without having to drop to 168.

I'd pull for Jean but he'd most likely lose in a spirited effort.
