If he beats Chagaev? He took this fight on really short notice. Chagaev is a dangerous, undefeated tough southpaw. He is also the real WBA champ.

Wlad wanted the fight with Haye even though he had no obligation whatsoever to do and was sidetracking his ambitions to unify. Haye is fairly untested at heavyweight but he was the cruiserweight king.

He has beaten all of the top contenders he has faced in the last few years.

All I hear is how he is a 'disgrace to boxing' 'boring' and 'jab jab grab'.

Isn't it time we gave Wlad some credit?

Yes, of course he should get credit. But Wlad will always have his detractors. Not his fault his competition sucks.

I'm not all that interested in the fight.

Chagaev has less chance of beating Wladimir than Haye did, and I expect a pretty easy win for the big man.

Of course, I'll tune in regardless. It's boxing.

Yeah I was really looking forward to the haye fight, but at least this will in some way make the division a little clearer. You never know it could be a great fight!

Boxing is very unpredictable at times. Wladimir could get knocked out if he is hit hard enough, that is my main incentive for watching it.

Yes, this is the more dangerous fighter out of hayes an chagaev,,,unless chagaev lays down, even if wlad dominates from the opening bell, a victory over chagaev rates alot of respect, i have to see the fight first, but it could be his number 1 victory

yes, he deserves credit for taking the fight against a completely different style than he had been preparing for.

But will he be praised? Depends upon his performance and what Chagaev brings tonight.

Dude he lost to Ruiz and got a gift dec. Wlad should get no more credit then he would get for fighting and beatting Ruiz...It dont matter what anyone thought of Ruiz vs Chagaev one thing was very clear..They are two fighters on the same level, thing is Ruiz is almost 40 and Chagaev just turned 30.

Wlad has already been the best heavyweight in my mind for sometime.

Beating Chagaev is to be expected, as I see it.

Honestly, I think an awful lot of people think too much of Chagaev. I think Wlad will totally outclass him, and that's exactly what I expect to happen.
