Who has the better chin, Lewis or Wlad?

We are talking about chin exclusively and of course power. Not who got KO'd by the better fighters. Who knows if Lewis would have taken those shots. If someone like Sanders lands on Lewis, you can confidently say he can't get knocked out?

Obviously you are misinformed. Sanders and Brewster openly admitted that they declined rematches with Wlad. Wlad wanted immediate rematches with both. Wlad also had a scheduled rematch with Puritty that Ross pulled out from due to injury. Also, Wlad had fought 24 times in 2 years, 6 times in 6 months when he fought Ross... and he was only 22 years old. Clearly he wasn't prepared for what was in front of him. A durable fighter who you can't blow your entire load on throughout the first 9-10 rounds. Puritty has one of the best chins of all time.

Sanders admitted in video interview on Max boxing that Wlad had been after him for a rematch... but that he wasn't going to give him one unless he beat Vitali... which he obviously didn't.

Lamon Brewster said that due to all of the "accusations" passed around after his first fight with Wlad, that he wouldn't give Wlad a rematch unless he was forced to by the WBO... which the WBO didn't do. Wlad ended up giving Brewster another shot at his title.

Also... you memory must suck because it was also 3 years before Lewis rematched McCall... who just happened to have been pulled out of crack rehab right before the fight. Which is why he was walking around the ring crying like a crackhead. Lewis got an immediate rematch with Rahman because there was an immediate rematch clause in their contract. Something that Wlad wasn't in the position to do in his losses. However... Lewis sure didn't give the fighters that he beat a chance to redeem themselves did he? Mercer? Vitali? It's easy to get rematches if the fighters that beat you are willing to give them to you. Lewis wasn't willing to give his opponents the same chance. Wlad was denied rematches by those who beat him... Vitali was denied a rematch by Lewis... they can't force people to get back into the ring with them.

How could Wlad tell his brother to step aside? Corrie Sanders went to the WBC Convention and was told that if he dropped his WBO title, that he would be place in the #2 spot behind Vitali Klitschko in the WBC rankings. Corrie dropped the WBO title (rather than defending it)... which ruined Wlad's chance at a rematch. Wlad was sitting there waiting for almost a year for Sanders to complete his WBO mandatory so he would then be forced to fight Wlad again. Well... Sanders dropped the WBO title rather than fight again because he knew that he got lucky and he wasn't about to give the title right back over. Pathetic that Wlad gave Sanders the chance that nobody else ever would... then Sanders didn't show the respect to give Wlad a rematch. Corrie Sanders even said that Lennox Lewis told him on the telephone that he avoided Sanders because he knew that he was too dangerous. I bet that you didn't know that one either.

Anyways... moving on...

Sanders drops the WBO title, Lewis retires... and the WBC declares Vitali Klitschko vs Corrie Sanders for the Vacant WBC title. Explain to me... how the hell could Vitali have just step aside? :huh It isn't like the WBC were going to let it be Wlad vs Sanders for the title if Vitali "stepped aside". Like I said before.... you are seriously misinformed.

BTW... Wlad gave Brewster a rematch IMMEDIATELY as soon as Brewster was available to fight him. Brewster was 100% healthy, even according to his own words in an interview recently on OTG boxing. There were no problems with his eye... so there are no excuses. You are bashing Wlad for getting his rematch as soon as he possibly could? Brewster wouldn't give Wlad a rematch when he had the title... then he lost... and that was the first available time that Wlad could have possibly fought Brewster.

Everything you'd want to look at is in his favour. He's fought a greater volume of big punchers. He's probably taken more punches. He's likely exchanged more punches. He's been KO'd less. He's been down less.

Therefore its pretty difficult to come to the conclusion Wlad had the better chin unless you are an extreme nuthugger.

I find it amazing that supposed Lewis fans don't like Wladimir when as fighters they clearly have a lot more in common than not.

It could be argued that Wlad has the better chin since he's always beat the count. It could just as easily be argued that Lewis has the better chin since he's been on the canvas less often.

There you have it folks, a stalemate. I hear both Wlad & Lewis are chess players so that is quite fitting.

:goodI completely agree. Lewis's 'Glass Jaw' was a myth. At the end of the day he took some big shots well- any HW can potentially KO another, it's what the division is all about- and if you're tagged like he was against Rahman, it's lights out. He avenged the defeat anyway so what's the big deal?
