JT is a baffling fighter. He's got some serious skills, but serious deficiencies as well. He should have dusted Froch the Amateur, but ran out of gas late - just like he always does. I think he would have beaten Pavlik in the second fight had he not run out of gas. Taylor stands a chance against almost any MW or SMW, but I doubt his ability to last into the late rounds .

I'd love to see him be able to find a trainer he can be comfortable with and actually change/fix his flaws. He seems to be a good guy, Hopefully he can and maybe still young enough, but at age 30 I do doubt it. He's to conditioned to the way he fights. Maybe a Richardson or Roach in order.

I like JT, but the correct answer is No. He cant make 160 anymore and 168 is too deep.

Good post. Big tough *******s who do not care if you beat the crap out of them are Jermain's kryptonite.

However, it does not have to be that way. Nazim Richardson or Freddy Roach could put JT right back on top. He needs to learn to fight smart. The Froch fight is a perfect example. When JT should have been looking to burn up the clock, he was trading toe to toe trying to knock froch out. Thats' what Nelson told Taylor to do, and so that's what he tried to do. Ozell and Jermain; dumber and dumber!

Yeah he can do it, but he's got to find a way to fix his stamina issues.:bbb

Love the avatar. Is that your chick? JT needs a change of scenery, whatever that means to him, he needs it. He needs to work on a few things, mentally and maybe physically. Maybe more arobic training and less weight training. I don't know, but he needs a fresh start. The talent is there for him to be the best at his division, though.

andre ward would be a good fight, very risky but if he could pull out a win he'd be back in line for a title shot

Watch the first half of the Taylor-Froch fight and Taylor was running RINGS round him and showing him a boxing lesson. I'm from the UK so am in no way a Froch hater, in fact I have great respect for his heart and stamina.

Basically if Taylor had the heart and stamina to keep up what he was doing in the early round for 12 it would have played out exactly like Hopkins/Pavlik.

STAMINA! Train, run, and train some more.

Wats good muh dood? Im just chillen as of late, working hard so i barely have time to be on here as much as i used too. But, i still represent and comment when i feel like something is being left out. Good to see that solid cats like you still around.

Anyway we know that JT can be a great fighter he just doesnt use his ability to do so. Yeah, a focused and determined JT can make it to the very top of sport of whichever division hes in, weather he does it or not is up to him.

Unfortunately, I think that his hunger isnt where it should be for a world champ.

If he fought more often against lesser competition to get his groove back. Fighting twice a year is what got him in this situation. He was still devoloping when he fought B-Hop. He may have won. but he wasn't ready.

The best trainer in the world cannot change the mental talents a fighter brings to the table. Taylor is more physically gifted than mentally, he simply loses focus in a fight and doesn't have that special ability to maximize his strenghts and negate his weaknesses like Hopkins, Calzaghe and some other great champions.

    ?

Abolutely nothing wrong with his fighting style. It's his stamina and heart.
