Have you ever noticed whenever somebody gets knocked down, especially in the first round, Steward always pulls out the same line, "But he may not make out of this one, hes a fighter, he doesn't know how to survive". It happend against Jones Calzaghe, Hatton Pacman, Diaz Marquez and im sure theres more ive heard him say that.

 

Yeah he does that.

But nothing beats ''This fight turned out exactly like I thought it would''

 

He's been good recently.

He gave Calzaghe his due after giving him **** early in the fight.
He gave Cotto his due after being absolutely against him in the early rounds.

 

yea he also said it right after Mosley had Margarito hurt against the ropes(right before the 1st knockdown)

 

another typical steward line is "this is just how I expected this fight to go".....haha

 

I know. Another thing is, whenver they have big fight and they ask Merchant on his final thoughts, he always has to act like Shakespear. Last time in the Hatton, "Many people thought we were going to get some cherries out of chocolate". Im sure out can pulll some funny final thoughts if I browsed by HBO directory.

 

i thought it was funny in Cotto-Margarito he said: "Margaritos defense is very unappreciated."

During Mosley-Margarito he said: "I have been noticing for a while that Margarito has no defense whatsoever."

yeah it was at the beginning. i am 99.9% percent sure he said that about Margarito because he was saying how well he tucks his elbows in.
