What fighters "wore the cuffs" the most often? I'm imagining Walcott, as in Barbados Joe, had to throw a few. Who else?
Well as far as modern times, this guy had to have thrown a fight more than once I mean this guy is a professional with a capital P [yt]ZFS_4SLMfac[/yt]
ive never seen that fight before, absolutely ridiculous. I like how the announcer was all over him, just ridiculous though.
many of Mark Gastineau's opponents took dives to make him to look good. One was allegedly poisoned before a fight so zgastineau could beat him
That fighter ended up in jail for confronting the manager that was involved in poisoning him. His health was affected permenantly as well. He also beat the living **** out of Gastineau' the first time around as well.
Tim Doc Anderson I believe. I read somewhere that Gastineau's people were actually trying to get a fight with George Foreman. Any truth to that? If so, Foreman would have killed the guy.
He was big, white, a "puncher" and would of had an undefeated record. Many fighters were trying to accomplish similar feats to get that Foreman payday. Foreman got millions of dollars for beating up the 90's Jimmy Ellis, who was white, a puncher, with a good record.
Lloyd Marshall Sam Langford -------------------------- Giving less than their best SRR carried a few Abe Attell carried a couple for betting purposes, via the return. Obscure fighters? Big Boy Peterson,Chuck Wiggins,Ace Clark. Jack Johnson carried Kaufmann , and Ross. Ike Williams carried Bob Montgomery as long as he could, beating the **** out of him all the way, revenge time. Bob Foster wanted to carry Rondon ,and inflict some more pain but Rondon couldnt take it.
