Prime Tyson Vs Valuev....Could Iron Mike KO the Circus Freak?

Well Tyson's uppercuts would have to travel a considerable amount of upward distance in which i think he'd be hitting sternum instead but think about this, Tyson has a very good chin and Valuev would have no chance of a KO.

With no fear of a problematic KO looming in the fight, Tyson would be able to be as aggressive as he usually is and i'd imagine him landing his trademark bomb hooks with regularity, he'd KO Valuev chin or no chin, Tyson hits pretty damn hard no chin would last too long.
Evander Holyfield could take some punishment, but Tyson was too skilled for Valuev.

I think Valuev would lose a wide decision. He'd grab, lean, use his jab, play it safe, collect a paycheck and move on.

 

The ancient version of Holyfield should have gotten the nod against Valuev. Tyson would have decimated him in his prime.

The only way Prime 88 Tyson would beat Valuev is on points, Tyson at 5-11 would have a LOT OF PROBLEMS, and valuev HAS A HEAD OF IRON NEVER BEEN HURT OR DOWN, Mike would maybe win?? but it wouldn't be a walk in the park:nono ..
Valuev wouldn't be scared of Tyson, Mike beat a lot of cats back in the 80's out of fear, how can a guy, 7-1 330 be afraid of a little 5-11 midget:-(

 

The 5-11 Midget was fast and had Combos that the Slow Giant never has seen in his career. Tyson wouldn't go head hunting and would bang the body. That way to make Big Val protect his body to open up the head. Many people don't remember how Great Tyson was early in his career. When he had the combos going it was a scary for a slow fighter. He would break Val down with body shots.

Valuev is a joke, anybody who'd give him a chance against a peak Tyson simply doesn't know **** about boxing.

 

Valuev is WAY too Slow for a prime Tyson. Tyson would eat him alive. This isn't the Tyson of the mid-late 90 and into the 2000. This is the PRIME Tyson.

 

I'd take the Tyson that beat Golota too, and any version from the 90s as well.

 

Many fight fans just forget how fast Tyson was. With Kevin in his corner and the Combo that came from the man was a thing to watch. The game plan would be a full attack on the body. Simple. Would duck the jab and counter with the hooks to Vals body. Val may have a hard head, but the body would be killed.

 

Tyson mythology is rampant on this board. Yes, he was a great and tremendously entertaining fighter, but you guys are overestimating his ability to KO a large man content to lose a decision.

If Tyson couldn't crack "Bonecrusher," why do you think he'd get to Valuev? All Valuev would do is jab and, at the point Tyson gets inside, drape his arms over Tyson's shoulders and push into him. Valuev is a huge human and this action would tire Mike over the course of the fight.

Of course, Valuev wouldn't actually *win* this way, but that's beside the point. This would be a horrific fight.
