According to Vitali's manager, Vitali, after he was too embarrassed to refuse Valuev's challenge on the phone, now he's not interested. And Wladimir, he didn't even try hard after Haye was injured, to get Valuev, he started directly negotiate with Chagaev.

Vitali is fully aware that fighting a giant won't be easy. He faced only two big guys, Lewis, to whom he lost, and Timo Hoffman, the only guy Vitali could beat but couldn't knock out. Vitali by far is Better than Hoffmann and the Klitschkos knows that Valuev can take huge punches for 12 rounds, especially that those punches are going upward, which won't be as powerful, and the most powerful weapon, which is the jab, won't be landind easily due to Valuev size and his new style of keeping distance. Now, they want the likes of Haye, Arreola and Povetkin. They don't want the WBA anymore and the dream of collecting all the belts at once, is not important anymore, as long as the belt is with Valuev. If Valuev lose to Ruiz, then it will be important again.

Also, for those who will say the Klitschkos don't want to deal with Valuev because of Don King and Sauerland, Valuev, when he called Vitali in person, told him that he will be working on facilitating the make of this fight, so there should be no problem. Also, if the Klitschkos are really concerned about Valuev's management, Vitali should've told Valuev that I won't fight you unless u solve your management problems, or at least start negotiating then they explain what problems are there, not just decline the fight without even trying.

Spinning the blame on Valuev and his management when Vitali declines the match is some grade A bull****

Ridiculous. Valuev could´nt beat Lary Donald, he couldn´t beat John Ruiz, he couldn´t beat Jean Francois Bergeron, he couldn´t beat a 46 years old Evander Holyfield. Valuev chickened out of the Chagaev-fight, he chickened out, when he had the chance to step in for Haye. He chickened out of a rematch against Larry Donald, a rematch that he promised him after the fight. Valuev is just a huge chicken. He does not deserve a fight with the two best heavyweights on planet. Let him fight the kingpin or Malik Scott. Both would beat that chump.

What the ****? He thinks that Don King is going to sit back and let Valuev set up the contract without being able to rob him and tie him down in the future?

I've never heard such a stupid argument. "Yeah, i'm managed by the most corrupt and evil promoter in history, but he's not around the corner now, so it's safe, sign the contract".

    Typical newbie post :D

I don´t think either Klitschko is afraight. Perhaps they think he is just irrelevant. Last weekend Wladimir demolished the only fighter who beat Valuev (of course he was also beaten on 1-2 occasions but got the point win).

Why does everyone associate post count with boxing knowledge, I'm pretty sure Larry Merchant knows more then me about boxing but he won't be beating my ESB post count any time soon. That damn Steve Bunce is though!

mmmmm i find that hard to believe, there are a number of problems that will prevent this fight

vitali is going to to retire soon and wants a big pay day which arreola and haye offer

don king always requires options if his fighters lose, something the klits will stay away from ( and i agree)

hbo want to cover vitalis fights and valuev wont just cut it in their opinion

valuev was offered to fight wlad after a full training camp, and turned it down so could just be using their name

honestly mate, after watching him get his ass handed to him by a 43yr old evander holyfield he is imo, one of the worst heavyweight belt holders in history

Sure, if what the lad said is true, you're wrong and vice versa :p I don't care for rumour without proof. It just annoys me to hear people call Valuev a chicken when he didn't pull out of the Vitali fight (I know he pulled out the Wlad fight but I wouldn't fight the best in the world without having time to formulate a game plan and work on it in camp), Vitali's representative I've seen a source saying there are more interesting fights out there for him. Gonna be disappointed if the fight doesn't happen, I really would have liked to see Haye/Arreola and Vitali/Valuev this year.

    This is obviously rubbish!!!

But one thing I will say is that I think either Klit has a harder time with Valuev than with Chagaev. Bothe Klits (especially Wlad) rely heavily on their jab and it'a a lot more difficult to jab away at a guy that's 7'1 than a guy that's 6'1 even if the smaller guy is a lot more skilled!!!
