Well that's a fantasy matchup, that's a little different. It's still a little soon to call this a fantasy matchup in the Classic Forum mold. :yep This is more like us whining about something that didn't go down.

Of course, I can't really talk since I'm still whining about Guzman-Katsidis falling apart a few years back, but...:!:

The only way Cotto beats DLH is if he runs into a diminished version like Pac did. At 100%, or even 70%, Oscar wrecks his life for good.

Even if it was the same Oscar that fough PBF Cotto would beat him.

At 150 it could be interesting at 154 De La Hoya would have won. He would have beaten Margrito as well.

at 154 it's a bit of a toss up. I'd go with Cotto though.

At 150, Oscar looked like absolute **** against STEVE ****IN' FORBES. He was also a bit swollen from feather-fisted 2 LBS...no way he doesnt get KTFO.

People seem to forget that fight. DLH was physically ****ed anything below 154. And even against Mayweather he wasnt the same. The reason many thought Oscar did good because of Mayweather's own volition of sitting on the ropes and making DLH look like he was doing something he wasn't. Cotto wouldnt have done that. I think Oscar would've had a puncher's chance, but honestly no. He would've lost in a war.

I doubt that fight would have been made at 154. If it was, Oscar had a good chance. At 150 or 147 Cotto knocks him out.

    @ 154lbs ODLH T/Ko
(I'm pretty sure Cotto would have taken the fight @ 154lbs)

Hell yeah Cotto would have fought at 154 pounds to fight De la hoya. Unlike Pacquiao, Cotto won't ask Oscar to move down in weight to fight him.

    I agree..
I have thought about this & come to the conclusion that ODLH may have been a bit past it to be able to take on Cotto. (Had it been the Floyd fight Oscar, maybe even the Forbes fight I might have to re-think it)

    My second post & re-thought..
