What are people baseing Clottey having KO punch with? I'm getting a good chuckle reading people type "Clottey couldn't KO Cotto and you think Pac can?" Clottey KOs records are from his fight days in Africa. Outside of Africa he has 4 KO. So please stop this Clottey is dangerouse and more powerfull crap.
Whoever said Clottey has power is foolish, people overrated this guy so much it's ridiculous and I still believe he's overrated despite giving Cotto a close fight. Clottey couldn't take out a blown up, beyond shot, coming off two physically/mentally damaging losses Corrales who was OUT of it since round 7 of that fight all the way to the 10th. I'm not saying Clottey is a tomato can, nope. He's a decent fighter at best, a gatekeeper and nothing else. Someone who will give anyone a decent/tough fight for a few rounds then run out of gas.
Clottey is one of the best boxers at welter. Great chin, irritating defense and very nice punch variety. Not a knockout puncher though; which in my eyes doesn't really bother me as watching him box is great.
Properly? Obviously not. He pulls them back before some of the added shockwave can come out of them at times. Have a look. He doesn't tend to sit down. I'm stating the obvious.
