Monzon vs Roy Jones?

    Monzon v RJJ - surely one of the most delictable hypotheticals ever raised here.

    Couldn't be more different in styles, career path, demeanor etc.

    Had thought for decades that Monzon was untouchable at middle. He did rule the division for eons and remained undefeated for something like 13 years.

    And then along comes a once in a generation (perhaps life-time) fighter like Jones!

    For mine, Monzon has the runs on the board at middle. If Jones had stayed their longer he might have swayed me, but IMO at middle it's still Monzon...just.

    Read my sentence before that statement, about the big ring. If Jones can't use his footwork to outquick Monzon, he'll be taken to school.

    Roy Jones would beat him via a decision. RJ's speed would be too much for the argentenian
