rico, whats the verdict on ortiz's and maidana's chins? a lot of big bombs were traded during the fight.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoQHAy11_6I it looks like he did quit look at the 50 sec of the video, the way hi shakes his head like he dont want to continue.
You're an idiot, so because Ortiz quit Khan doesn't have a glass jaw, is that the point your trying to make. You suck ass cheeks.
I just watched the fight. I got the impression he never fully recovered from the first knock down, so he did well to get as far as he did.
my basic impressions of that fight....was miadana is either underrated or ortiz was overrated....not quite sure yet.....maybe its a littel bit of both.....i saw more skills in maidana then just his big heavy right hand..... and i did think ortiz quit.....and he was still in that fight, he was ahead 48-46 on the cards, and KNEW he had knocked down marcos 3 times.....to me it did show a lack of heart when he was badly hurt in the 6th.....
the same people who label cotto a quiter...... heres the defination of a person who quits because they simply dont want to fight for fear of more punishment..... 1) Camacho Jr vs Leija 2) Leija vs micky ward 3) chavez vs randall 2 4) bert cooper vs george foreman legitimate reasons to call it a day 1) cotto ( bloodied and beaten up and in 11th rd , knocked down 2 times already) 2) Ortiz saturday night....took a ton of punishment
This **** is stupid. WTF? Why not just say this 22 yer old kid should have stayed and taken his brain damage, and possible death, like a man cuz us knuckle draggers are amused by it? I've had bad days at work, but I never came home looking like he did.
if you read my post...it said Ortiz was justified....and to say it was on the same level of the first group is bull****.....
I didn't put you in that group. It was late when I posted and was just venting at the idiots, not you.
Can't say he was rushed, this is a test he had to take whether now or later, fighting a few more easier fights was going to be good for him to stay active but nothing else, a difficult test had to come. If they continued to put him against easier opponents then people will say he's fighting too many bums and needs to step up. He just couldn't pass his first major test, can't blame anyone but Maidena here for proving to be better. A rematch looks to be in the works I would think, Ortiz is slowly showing interest there. Let's see where it goes.
Oh man I know that and have said it A LOT. Fans just overreact when a fighter loses, only a while ago Cotto should have "retired" according to a many idiots after his loss to Margarito and now many are picking him to dominate Pac after two wins over Jennings and Clottey. Ortiz should just get a few more fights/wins and people will be jumping on that bandwagon again, fans just overreact after any loss. I still remember ******s claiming Pacquiao should retire after his loss to Morales, this always happens because there are more ******s than fans with knowledge.
