LOL. At first I thought you were a serious poster but now I realise you are actually quite a funny troll!
No i am a boxing fan. I enjoy watching Wlad´s great boxing skills, his fast hands, beautiful jab, great footwork, more fluid punches, tactics, how he put defence and offensive skills together, accurate punching power etc. All these things make boxing such an emazing sport.
The Brewster fight was one hell of a inspiration for me, it showed a guy could be physically superior to you in every category, but if you believe in yourself and have the mental toughness inside of you, you will always have a chance to win. It also helps when your oppenent is about as tough as filet mignon steak also.
His fights pre Brewster 1, where all pretty good, since then the play safe kind of style is not too good, the only fight that he fought good with that style was the Peter fight.
Why didn´t it helped Brewster in the second fight? Because Wlad was not drugged like in the first fight.
Check the punch stat numbers, and how many power punches Wlad threw in that fight. Compared to the second fight where he threw very few. Brewster took everything Wlad to offer, and when Brewster mounted his own attack, Wlad couldn't take it and ended up melting like an icecream on warm july day. You must remember Brewster was 15 months inactive coming into the second fight, as well as coming back after having serious eye surgery.
Brewster was also inactive before fight 1. Check the punch stat numbers against Mercer. Wlad can fight at this pace. He was drugged in this fight and i had not doubt about it. But it is the past. He is The Man at Heavyweight and had fight his way back on top.
Brewster himself (OTG radio show) said..he was in perfect shape and the eye WAS NOT an issue at all. Give respect where its due. Wlad blew out Brewster in the second fight:good
And against Mercer he looked all blue in the face as well, Merchant even commented on it. We can make excuses all day, but at the end of the day the tougher man won that night. Wlad was like 250 pounds 6'6 and a half for that fight, a man that size shouldn't be throwing that many power punches, and with the help of Manny Steward Wlad has learned to pace himself so that doesn't happen again. I would also like to point out that Brewster landed alot of huge body shots early on, so much so RJJ commented on it by saying somthing like "Wlad doesn't have a glass body". And Wlad also had a panic attack in the 3rd round after getting rocked by a stiff jab from Brewster, which may have added to the fact he was so tired a few rounds later.
Thats fine, but give Brewster credit for the first as well. We can make excuses for both men, in both fights if we want. In the end, Brewster TKO'd Wlad in the first fight, Wlad TKO'd Brewster in the second fight. :deal
That´s true, well spoken :good Lamon Brewster is a tough fighter, no doubt about it. I like Lamon Brewster and his KO win against Luan Krasniqi! It was great.
