Khan was TKOed against Limond and the Barrera fight was a DISGRACE to boxing.

I dont think Khan will KO Kotelnik, but i definatly think we could see one of these "stoppages". Khan lands a good punch, Kotelnik puts up his guard, Khan throws fast combinations which arent landing until the ref steps in. British boxing is **** for this.

its not as simple as that in boxing, styles make fights and just because Ali beats foreman, Frazier beat Ali doesn't mean frazier will beat foreman

khan has the tools to beat kotelnik which maidana didn't have, allowing for his dodgy chin, he has a very good jab (although not always consistant) super speed, decent footwork, variety of punches thrown in bunches and with the great trainer/strategist freddie roach in his corner

I'll take freddie roach's word on the fight, 'were gonna knock him out'. One thing that khan has at the weight is speed in all its forms, what he doesnt have yet is technique (perhaps roach) and durability (maybe never completely). This means he can stop a guy like kotelnik who is slower. I did a thread on kotelnik a while ago pointing out one of the reasons why his KO percentage is below average. Basically hes been fighting guys that are very durable (not the case with khan).

Kotelnik was summed up by someone on a youtube prediction video quite accurately. Kotelnik is a good solid 12 round professional champion but hes not lighting anything up. The things that make this fight dangerous are that kotelnik has the ability to make khan look foolish and really outbox him aside from the obvious danger of being knocked out. But khan could also win a shutout due to his speed and in and out style him and roach are developing.

Kotelnik has an excellent guard and Khan only lands about 3 punches out of every ten he throws against average opponents.

i think exellent is pushing it, he has a good guard with a straight stand up euro style, wouldn't say he was pedestrian but he's not the quickest and doesn't counter well enough

i think this wil be khans coming out party, although it'll probabily be a "life and death" fight for him

Nope, not pushing it at all, Maidana couldn't get through it, Witter couldn't get through it, nobody has gotten through it, it's an excellent guard. Countering and head movement are different stories, but his guard is excellent.

I agree. I saw the fight as well and thought Kotelnik deserved the close decision over Maidana. Its a shame that some people think that a decision from Germany is automatically suspect.

Khan owns a pair of hands and he is using them to punch other
people so theoretically he have legitimate ability to knock Kotelnik out.

Khan at 140 will be a better fighter with improved power, Kotelnik is in for a shock.
