Evrywhere i Go i read that Cotto is nothing but just another victim for Manny Pacquiao....but people need to remember Cotto is nothing close to a Ricky Hatton and Cotto is also not a drained De la Hoya...This will def be Mannys hardest test to this date...Manny hasnt face no one like Cotto ..Manny has never felt power Like Cotto has....and I believe all it takes for Cotto is 1 good punch and Manny is going to be in trouble

one thing to me at least that makes this fight interesting is that manny is a southpaw and cotto is actually left handed but fights orthodox
Im going for manny but cotto is dangerous to anyone

I want to agree, but most everyone basically said the same thing about ODLH and Hatton.

I say it comes down to gameplan.

i give cotto a chance here solely on his 10+ lb size/strength advantage and nothing more. that's why he certainly has a puncher's chance here. but what will be more of a factor are their differences in level, class, talent and ability as a fighter which will become evident in this fight.

Cotto obviously has a much better chance than Oscar or Hatton. Cotto also hasn't looked so great against Margo or Clottey because he couldn't hurt them
at all, but against Pacquiao he will be able to hurt him which will boost his confidence.

Actually there are some similarities, a lot, in fact. Despite Cotto currently being superior to Hatton in every way that matters.

Only *******s are blind to the truth. This will be a bloody battle to the death. Neither fighter will be the same after this one.

    i feel the same way

i knew hatton would get destroyed, but i dont feel the same about this

it could happen - manny's a beast and cotto's not shown the same form as pre margarito

but still, cotto has it in him to give manny one hell of a fight

and i really hope he does :bbb

I disagree strongly that Hatton and Hoya were easy picks for Manny Pacquiao. Sure Roach made it as better as possible for his fighter bringing Hoya down to 147 but still many said all it took was a one left hook or a stiff jab from Oscar and it was all over, one of them being me. Hatton is incredibly tough as Mayweather and many before experienced, not even being reasonable to say he was considerable softened by Mayweather for Pacquiao.
Listen, boxing is not about the one punch because you have to get set to throw, reposition and defend yourself, move and explore your angles, control your breathing throughout, heat up and cool off, control the tempo, timing, and so on... Pacquiao is the superior athlete and the better fighter. Cotto is as much a picked opponent as Hoya and Hatton were - Pacquiao is basically making his way clear to Floyd Mayweather and that is definitely his toughest opponent available... And in the next case, Mosley, not Cotto, not Cotto at this stage by any means.

Cotto has a big chance at 147, a really big chance!

Don't get caught up in the hype of Cotto's last fight showing him up, and Pacquiao all-conquering hype of late!

If a Pre-Margo Cotto turns up, then he will take this.... but if his last fight was more to do with his current ability than the cut, then its Pacquaio

Pauli Maligani went the distance with Cotto. Hatton knocked him out. 'nuff said. That shows Hatton is better than Cotto.
