VITLAY is the only fighter I know of that hit prime at 37, he's an amazing guy. It's also amazing to me how the VITLAY fans give him praise for quitting against feather fisted Chris Byrd with a sore shoulder, yet the very same fans attack Peter for quitting against VITLAY when he was getting the **** kicked out of him. I know which I consider more cowardly but for some reason logic doesn't apply with these guys :huh

VITLAYS chin is over-rated because he took one monster uppercut from Lewis. Lewis is considered to have a shaky chin but he took shots like that on several occasions without going down. The only other time I saw VITLAY get seriously tagged by a hard hitter he ran backwards across the ring and got dumped on the seat of his pants a few seconds later but it was ruled no knockdown for some reason.

He has a better chin than his brother for sure, but he's hardly Oliver McCall like the fan-boys make him out to be.

No, it was his own fans that called them that - I just copied them.

I agree with you on that, but the truth is he hasn't given any evidence to show he has a bad chin either, if anything it's pretty good. Haye is making a mistake I think, by taking on Vitali right away. I feel he was better of sticking with Wlad, Vitali is pretty tough and will fight if he gets caught with something big, Wlad on the other hand would panic and eventually hit the canvas. And from what I seen of Haye, the guys a great finisher. How do you see Vitali/Haye going?

Peter reportedly had complications from the flu coming into that fight, fourtyounce posted not too long ago.

He has given a small amount of evidence to suggest he has a decent chin, but he has also shown shaky whiskers against Sanders who was 40 years old, overweight and disinterested - even MORE disinterested than he was when he fought WALDO, and that takes some doing. Sanders was a guy who never even earnt a shot at the title when Lewis was around, he was a fringe contender yet is still probably the best win on VITLAYS resume and he was 40 ****ing years old, and managed to floor VITLAY - to think people mock Tysons demolition of Holmes :patsch

Haye may well be making a mistake, we'll have to wait and see. If (and it's a very big if I know) Hayes chin holds up, he'll win this fight I'm sure of it. Both Klits are fine when they're in the comfort zone....they are both incapable of going to war though.

So you don't think getting punched in the face 100 times by a 6 foot 8, 250lbs fighter injures you?

The point is, Byrd, even with his Sunday best shot could not put a dent in VITLAY yet VITLAY still took the ***** route. Peter got beaten from pillar to post and never went down, he just knew he couldn't win the fight and was in a lot of pain and knew more was coming, so he quit. I don't see much difference between the two myself but I consider VITLAYS quittage as worse because he was up against a man that couldn't hurt him.
