    Louis was too polite to directly call Ali a bum but it was his way of getting the message across that he thought Ali would have been one of his successful defences.

    Having said that, Ali UD Louis all the way for me.

    I like this quote from Randall "Tex" Cobb. He was at the head table at an elegant dinner affair along with such notables as Larry Holmes, Joe Frazier, Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, and Reynaldo Snipes. At the mike, he said, "I'm honoured to be here with some of the baddest ******s on the planet." When Snipes complained about the racist remark, he replied, "Relax. I wasn't talking about you."

    I think it was Chuvalo who, before the Ali fight, told his wife that later that night (when he'd won the title) she'd be sleeping with the heavyweight champion of the world.

    After the fight she asked Chuvalo whether Ali would be coming to her room or whether she should go to his.......

    That's actually a Chuck Wepner story... Chuvalo's line was after their first fight... "He may have won, but after the fight he went to the hospital and I went out dancing with my wife."
