And he also went to the US because he wanted to fight a marquee name and future HOFer in Taylor.Certainly not because Hennessy lost the bid.

Froch could not dictate anything. Taylor was his mandatory.

Taylor a future hall of famer:patsch
Jermain is one of my favortie fighters, but get real! JT has lost 3 of his last 4 fights. The two losses to Kelly Pavlik clealry did not kill his career, but then he found a way to lose to Carl The Clumsy! JT is done. No way in hell will we ever see him in the hall of fame, unless Arkansas has one.

So now Froch is so much better, than Bute, Kessler, Pavlik, Abraham etc...he's even in another class....:nut

If there was a hall of fame for pure underachievers, JT would certainly be in it.

Nope next fight he's in Vegas...And you would also stay in Montreal if that the place where you make more money against your opponent... And don't worry, Froch will fight Bute, just not today...Don't be a worthless hater like that dumb Sarah...

They have shown no signs of even wanting to until now. I know you are trying to remain positive, but some of these guys have been around enough now to prove they don't know any thing but nut huggery and wallow in it.

I got a hard time trying to understand the situation. Froch is saying that bute is pricing himself out but still, Bute gonna go for the one who's gonna paid him less.

that doesn't make sense. Froch could have said that Bute didn't have the ball to fight him, or that he just didn't want to travel to UK. Saying that he wanted to much money while saying Bute could've made more fighting with him is just plain stupid. It is one way or the other, not both

Not sure this ever went to bid. If it had, Taylor would have dropped out. Taylor had a nice chunk of change promised from Showtime. He really didn't care WHO he fought for it. Froch couldn't match the money but very badly wanted to fight Taylor for the recognition AND he knew Taylor would mean a bigger purse than other names out there. So, Froch was "champ" but Taylor had all the cards during negotiations. That is why the fight was in the US. In the end, Froch couldn't even make a TV deal because he had pissed off everyone in the country bad mouthing Calzaghe.

There are too many threads on this already.

Froch is English and was being interviewed by his local Nottingham newspaper/website. It seems logical to suggest that by saying "1 million" he means £1 million (pounds sterling). You guys are talking about 900k dollars. There's a big difference, almost double!
