    .
This is Team PAC's way to have the final weight at 144... PAC demands 143 and Cotto said 145 so they will make compromises and agree to fight at 144 which is a fair catchweight... Actually the exact catchweight midpoint is 143.5 but 144 will do even if it slightly favors Cotto...

Cotto does not come in at 160+. :patsch

I want the fight at 147 cause I know Pac can beat Cotto at that weight.

Laugh all you want, right now. Pac wants it at 143. :hi:

No clue. I want the fight at 140.

But coming up is easier than going down.

Because when you are on the edge of pushing your draining limits. 1lb is a lot.

Just ask Castillo in the Corrales rematch.

Just, throwing it out there but...

Isn't the interest in the Cotto fight the simple fact that Pacman is fighting the considerabley larger man?

If you try to make the larger man less, and even the playing fields... isn't it less of a challenge and thus not as interesting?

Although many pacman fans may want to see their fighter win the fight either in the ring, on the cards or on the scales... I would much rather just see it decided by the first two and when two fighters are at their physical peak no matter what weight.

This is how true legends are made, surviving all odds and overcoming them to cement their legacy and doing what many deem "impossible".

    Just my 2 cents..

I hope for Pac's sake that it ends up at 145+, 142/3 will leave a big cloud over the fight if he wins. This is the fight that can clear up the doubt over Hatton and De La Hoya.

I doubt Pac wants to drain Cotto. He probably thinks Cotto can make it, but he's probably wrong. 145 or nothing, come on Pac.

castillo had no business remaining @135 for that long. he should've moved up much earlier.

one lb a lot?! if cotto is already pushing his draining limits to make welter, then he should already move up to jr. middle and take on paul williams. cotto is therefore just picking on small ppl if he chooses to remain at welter.

the final catchweight will probably be @144-145. cotto is just a lb or two away from it. this is just part of the nego process. one party is high-balling while the other is low-balling. they'll find a middle ground.

Why should he move up when he's fine cutting to 146/147?

If he makes 147 healthy hes fine.

His nutritionist said 145 is the limit.

That limit could be closer than you think.

Cotto should tell Pac to **** off. Either it's welterweight, or no weight!
