what the f*ck are you talking about?? 145 is 5POUNDS heavier than Pacs optimum weight (he is devastating at 140) and only 2POUNDS lighter than COTTO's.

Jesus Pac is giving Cotto the weight advantage and HE'S STILL GETTING FLACK. It makes me want to give up. Don't just think of Cotto's side. Think of Pac's side. Pac is the P4P Number 1, Cotto called him out and is being GIVEN the chance to get the biggest payday and the biggest fight of his career and Pac is meeting him at HIS weight. How stupid is that? Pac needs to have more respect for himself and make people come to his palace. Jesus when you ARE THE F*CKING KING YOU DON'T GO TO YOUR PEASANTS QUARTERS THEY F*CKING COME TO YOU. Why does everyone think Cotto is the champion and that Pac should be bending over backwards to please him??????

Exactly, at 145 Cotto will not have as much power but will be trimmer, have more energy, stamina and will be lighter on his feet and have faster hands.

Pac at 145 will have more power but will lose some of his speed (did you see how much snap and speed his punches had at 140?) and be alittle sluggish, heavier on his feet from using his little frame to power that extra weight.

Have the fight at 140 you have the best possible Pac against a 80% Cotto. Have the fight at 147 and you have the best possible Cotto against an 80% Pac.

At least when you meet in the middle it's equal all round.

instead of giving props to manny for fighting bigger guys, he still gets hate from some people who wants him to get killed in the ring. 147 is too much for manny..

I think the problem with Pac is that he is too nice. One thing I have learnt in life is that people don't have respect for nice people. They walk all over them.

Mayweather as much as people hate him has respect for himself. He made Hatton meet him at HIS WEIGHT. He making Marquez come up to his weight division. These are the actions of someone who knows he is the best and feels he is the King.

Pac needs to take a leaf from Mayweather's book. Treat people like **** and they respect you.

Treat them nicely and try and be fair and they'll still find things wrong with what you've done. In fact they'll probably hate you even more.

Ok, I'm being silly. We all know we don't want Pac to be an egotistical arsehole but FFF give the guy his dues. He's Pound 4 Pound Number 1 on the Earth and he's got there the hard way with dignity, courage and a warriors heart. So give the guy some respect and credit. For F*ck sake.

I hear you point brah. But it's a little different for PAC vs Cotto simply b/c Cotto has in the past has been known to struggle with his weight at Jr WW. Not so much at 147 but he seems to genuwinely want to face PAC and I think he really feels 145 is fair. Whether or not he can make 144 or 143 is unknown, but his nutrionist who works on behalf of his fighter seems to think 145 is the limit which is what Cotto proposed for the clash with PAC. I for one feel PAC can beat Cotto at 147 or 143 and feel 145 would be no different. Of course I'm speculating and nothing is guranteed but this is a fight that will be good for both fighters and boxing as a whole. They should agree that both are making sacrafices and taking risks and get the deal done.

If he'd actually thrown a couple of punches you would have seen he was quicker. :D

I don't know about PBF still being able to fight comfortably at 140. Logic says that if he could fight comfortably at 140, he would be fighting JMM at 140. Floyd hasn't weighed 140 in over 4 years.

That's why I said 'most likely'. I'm leaving myself a little wiggle room ;) PBF just doesn't look as big as Cotto, Shane, Margo etc. Except for Baldomir (for the title) and ODLH (for the money) PBF hasn't weighed more than 145, and I'm thinking that's his comfortable weight. He probably has to actually work at it to get to 140, and doesn't wanna do it lol but he's not a true ww. Cotto will probably be drawn as hell trying to make 145.

I propose that Floyd fight Cotto and Marquez fight Pacman. Welterweights should stop picking on featherweights.
