Atlas was also mourning the passing of a boxing community luminary while Macky was being decked. Atlas is the SHOW;not the boxers.

Atlas messed another broadcast with his alternately biased and oblivious commentary. You can ALways tell which fighter Atlas is insisting must win. in this case Godfrey, as Hawk couldn't and didn't get any recognition as he stalked a backpedaling Godfrey all fight long. however, according to Atlas' biased commentary, you'd think it was the othe way around. during the 1oth (Hawk's best round) Godfrey was being consistently tagged, backed-up, and even staggerred ALL of which went unrecognized (undetected?) by Atlas oblivious commentary as he (Once Again) bored the

out of me with another one of his long-winded, inarticulate anecdote/rant about who the heck cares. Somebody needs to tell Atlas to STFU while the bout is happening. the Fight NOT the announcers should be the focus of attention. in which case, Atlas has go to Go.

And while we are at it, BJ Flores is wince-provoking as well. This guy is the most politically correct bloke I have heard yet. They asked him about Tomaz-Bobby Gunn and he says Tomaz should win preety big. Huh? Gunn might get terrinbly hurt tonight this is such a horrible mismatch. How about calling it what it is, Flores?

Naw, Tessitori, Atlas and now BJ (and maybe even Sauuuuuul) need to go IMO.

As an American, I sadly must agree with you. They suck down to the base. :verysad :verysad

Tessitore calls a good fight. Little excitable at times, but look at the fights he has to call. FNF gets a lot of stinkers; he has to do something to keep interest up.

And what the **** is with Saul? Was he born without any sort of personality or did he just never bother to develop one?

I had high hopes for last night's FNF and plain and simple, it was garbage. Shaun George goes Oliver McCall in the opener and Matt Godfrey and Shaun Hawk engaged in a glorified pillow fight. I would love to see Godfrey in the ring with Cunningham or Adamek. Or even Jonathan Banks. He wouldn't make it five rounds.

Nothing is as bad as when the HBO bone-smokers start rimming the HBO fighter of the night. Only Emmanuel Steward dares to tell it like it is.
That was a really lame FNF, by the way.

Giving props to Col. Bob in your very first post... :good

Sheridan is great IMO,,, his call adds excitement to the fight... even if he does over do it a little sometimes.

I usually like Teddy but you are right. They ignored everything Hawk did and he landed some heavy shots. He dropped Godfrey in the 10th and it wasn't counted. I wouldn't be surprised if the punch stats were skewed. Godfrey really didn't throw much more than Hawk. Hawk is still crude and green but he is strong as hell. I think he can improve.

I usually don't have much of a problem with Teddy but I don't like how he made Hawk out to be this complete bum. Hawk can definitely improve.

I'm sick of Atlas interviewing a fighter after a big win & immediately pointing out his flaws.

Congratulations on a great comeback win after almost being knocked out in the 1st. Why do you keep eating right hands? What is the problem? You are way to easy to hit, you know this right? But good job.

    Straight up Dick!
