    Couple of quick things first:

This fight could be very quick, depending on how Haye fights. If he presses the fight, which is highly unlikely, the bout will be over in two rounds or less, similar to when Vitali K fought Herbie Hide.

Two key things about Vitali K:

Now, the high workrate may slip slightly with VK's advancing age (though it didn't against Peter), but the counterpunching ability is what really is a problem for Haye.

As soon as Haye loads up an overhand right, he could get met with a returning right or left hand. Given their relative chin strength, that is likely to prove disastrous for Haye.

This match-up is all wrong for Haye, but you give him credit for taking it after pulling out of the Wlad fight. Haye wants to make $$$ and he knows that this is the best fight for that end. The gate should be huge if it's held in a stadium and it's sure to do big numbers throughout Europe, at least.

My own guess is that the bout will last between 4-6 rounds. I think Haye starts cautiously, but at some point he will have to come in and try to land a meaningful punch or else eat jabs all night and lose decisively on points.

    When that happens, *BOOM*

VK will likely stun Haye with a punch and then finish him off, a la Herbie Hide.

i give him til the 9th. i really think he'll get hammered in the first 2 rounds and backpedal, desperately trying to con his way to a victory. i don't think he has the heart to dig deep and make a real fight out of it

I just added my own prediction to the first post.

Thanks, Jorodz. I think Haye has the heart but not the chin to make it a real brawl.

:goodcheers, i hope i'm wrong! it could be a great fight and i really hope he builds his courage over the fight and goes for it. if he can use his head movement (or ANY head movement, which would be an improvement for him) he could work his way in and take some rounds off vitali. and the end though he's waaaaaay too open to counters and his speed is drastically overrated. here's hoping for a heavyweight brawl!!!

david haye is going to lose. He's got a shot against Wlad I think. Against Vitali he doesnt have a chance.

Vitali isnt thinking like wlad he wont want to draw this out he will want to hit haye as hard and as much as he can so haye isnt going to last past 5

    Probably around 4-9. I voted 7-9.

Vitali is 38 years old & so he could get old just like that! I also feel Vitali has stamina issues - he was gasping for air during his last outing at quite an early stage of the bout!

Haye is much the fitter man. Vitali probably thinks all he has to do is hit Haye & is goodnight vienna, but Haye is no dummy. He & Adam Booth have proved they have the discipline to remain focused on the strategy they prepare.

I look for Haye to box a bit rather than just try to get Vitali out of there straight away! Haye will be cautious but effective. If Haye pulls this off, I will hit the roof!

Get fcuking in there, David! :bbb

Haye is going to last 1-3 rounds. Vitali KO'd Kirk Johnson in the second round & he had a better chin than Haye & more power & technique too. Granted that was prime VK but I honestly think Kirk Johnson is levels above Haye in terms of talent. VK almost had Danny Williams out in the first round too and Danny's chin, power & technique are also superior to David Haye.

For as many rounds as Vitali wants to stand up before Haye drops him. Personal attacks to follow...

HAEY got stopped by Carl Thompson and was dropped hard and put in serious trouble by Lolenga Mock, a journeyman super middleweight who has 12 KO's in 28 pro wins, almost all of them against awful opposition

The first time VITLAI connects with a clean right hand, HAEY is going to be in trouble. This fight will be over inside 6, probably earlier than that

That is of course unless Vitali wants to punish him for his big mouth...but he should just get him out of there quick and humiliate him...i'm pickin Vitali ref stoppage 2

i think haye will definitely make it out of the first round. even if he does get hurt, im sure he can run away and atleast get to the 2nd.

hell get koed in either the 2nd or 3rd round. depends on how many punches vitali wants to throw.
