It's confirmed that king artie is going to SMW and dumping the ibefelonious
160 strap. On the hills of the replay of his 10th defense on showtime, and
the confirmation of the 168 lb tourney on friday night fights. It's a done deal. 168 has to be now be the 2nd or 3rd most compelling division in boxing. It's announced that AA's first rd pick is against the wounded jermain taylor. Bad style for taylor. He gets KO'd late by the king.

Good for Arthur, should have done this after Miranda 2 after looking so explosive.

Zuniga, Miranda, and Taylor left 160 after they fought Pavlik. Arthur "the can killer" Abraham is leaving without a fight. Who's he fighting next? Two time Pavlik victim Jermain Taylor. Of course I will admit it is a step up compared to former Raymod Joval victim Shannon Taylor.

All Arum had to do was snap his finger, and he could've made PAv-Abraham. The IBF 160 pound title...good riddance. Pav was never the true MW champ. Lineage says he was, but Pav only beat Taylor who NEVER beat Hop in any true boxing fans minds so I never saw PAv as the true MW champion anyway. Pav can stay at 160 and continue to...rule lol.

You have some nerve bringing up McKart and Zuniga again.

Miranda got his first loss against Abraham then Pavlik got to him, get that right. A rematch was supposed to happen AND a fight with Taylor which was promised after Miranda/Abraham, that was off the table because of his jaw injury/surgery and being forced by the IBF to take time off then take on a soft challenger before fighting a dangerous opponent again. You seem to ignore all those facts in countless attempts to try and make Pavlik, who clearly ducked Abraham, look good.

Moving up at super middleweight is his best decision since Pavlik wants none of them and would prefer guys who cleary lack the power to send him to the canvas. Now that Abraham moved up let's see how Pavlik will make a decent career fighting the endless nobodies in the MW division.

So Pavlik has let his most dangerous and credible opponent just walk away. His biggest possible paycheck at 160 to boot. Is it Pavlik or Arum, though?

They only started showing interest in the fight when Abraham announced he's moving up.

If people can't see that this is not the first time Arum has done this then these people have issues. Arum did the same with Paul Williams to avoid a possible rematch with Marg, they kept telling him to wait in hope of Williams showing difficulty making weight and pissing off. Now he did the same with Abraham.

The funniest is that Abraham is set to get major fights moving up and Pavlik will look to make a career and impress idiots by fighting the nobodies at MW. Hey, that's what they wanted anyway.

It's both, Pavlik seemed to fully agree with what Arum said in the post fight press conference after Rubio.

That's a shame. I can see why Arum wants KP to take handy fights to pick up some easy money. But in the long term, surely that's loose change to getting Pavlik back on the up, with a big money home fight against his only real threat at 160. If Kelly were to beat AA, he recovers an awful lot of the momentum he lost in his defeat to Hopkins. Beating seven different shades of **** out of Mora, Duddy etc is not going to erase peoples doubts about Pavliks ability. We already know he's above there level. Ah, well, I supoose we can always just hope he moves up to 168 as soon as possible.
