He was just a little too ambitious in moving up to Bantamweight, he clearly doesn't belong there. He's still one of the most determined fighters ever, and will still be a danger to anyone if he moves back down in weight.

Exciting, yes. Capable of beating great fighters on a given night, yes. "Great", himself? Eh...

I was saying this earlier - how can you **** on someone for having too much ambition.

The dumbass reaction of people to a defeat is the reason why so many fighters don't take chances.

Yep. I don't think this loss hurts him. It just means King Kong was better. Doesn't hurt to have another warrior from Ghana to make things interesting.

Vix didn't BOX. He didn't even keep his hands up when he was being nailed with the right ALL the time. If he would have just done a few things he may well have won the fight.

Because it's Vic and he has a tendency to be a little cocky people are shitting on him.

No, it happens EVERY TIME a high-profile fighter loses. If they take a tough challenge, and they get defeated, suddenly they are useless and all the prior success means **** all. It's pathetic.

I dunno but I disagree with the highlighted statement above... Darchinyan is bigger than Agbeko so you mean Agbeko also doesn't belong to bantam?:D

Darchinyan was 117.5 lbs on weigh-in while Agbeko only 116.5. Darchinyan was 127 lbs. on fight night while Agbeko was only 122 lbs... If Darchinyan goes back to lower weights, he could possibly have problems making weight this time...

He looked a little meatier than Agbeko, that's about it... and that could be because Bantamweight isn't an ideal weight for Vic, hence Agbeko looking more lean and ripped. And Vic's power didn't look to carry up to Bantamweight.

Maybe Vic was having trouble making weight at superfly, but that doesn't mean bantamweight is an effective weight for him. Time will tell.

Folks start jumping all over Vic cause he lost to a better fighter on the night. No shame in that . Would you rather he was like Fraude Mayfeather and just stick to meeting 'safe" low risk high reward opponents. Just stand behind Fraude and say " Look here's Antonio Margarito coming" and watch the little punk shake like a jelly

Vic is not only looking meatier than Agbeko, Vic is indeed heavier than Agbeko... It's Vic's problem if his power is nothing at bantam... ;)

If Vic has grown up the superfly division then you can't say that he doesn't belong to bantam... He has no choice but compete at bantam... Darchinyan vs. Hasegawa next... ;)

there's no shame in losing to a solid fighter like agbeko. i started a thread about him a while ago because i saw him in his last fight and was very, very impressed. i thought vic might win it, but clearly agbeko was the better man saturday night.

Agreed. That said, with some subtle adjustments, Darchynian could defeat Agbeko.
