This really is fantastic stuff. Boxers foregoing the politics, promoters leaving the risk aside, TV networks showing some imagination... it's all so simple that it's genious. And very exciting too. Congrats to everyone involved because I can't see this being anything other than a success and will raise the profiles of all involved. Some fascinating fights in the pipeline... Froch vs Abraham will be a war should that happen! Taylor could beat anyone on his day, Ward & Dirrell are unknown packages and Kessler's the head honcho.

I'd love to see similar things happening in other divisions.

Calzaghe must be happy that he retired when he did instead of being having to justify not wanting to be involved in this man vs man tournament. Instead of pussyfooting around, these men are putting it all on the line!

I like the sound of it. So what is the format going to be?

Yep, it sure is awesome. I agree with you about Froch-Abraham as well. That is the fight I am looking forward to the most.

What will happen with Mandatories and what not? Could they wreck this?

From the first round, Abraham vs Taylor on paper looks to be the best fight, can't wait for that one.

Potentially. Froch has just served his mandatory and Dirrell is a voluntary. If and when Froch and Kessler unify next year then we will see the 'WBA Super Dooper' title again so Kessler doesn't have to worry about any more mandos apart from the one he has before the tourney starts.

It's in the contract that the tournament comes before mando's. If they have to drop the belt then so be it.

Kessler's WBA and Froch's WBC will be on the line for the first round. Showtime will basically have to avoid title holders facing each other until later on.

The 2 Andres' are 2 and 3 in the Wbc rankings and it's believed that Kessler will get rid of his mandatory before he's due to fight in the tourniment.

Somebody just mentioned something on the GF and do you know what, I think something will happen to one of the boxers and it will come true.

    Sakio Bika.

Someone's going to get injured and he'll be brought in late on and **** up all the plans. Watch this space!

:good Cheers Ishy i suppose the Ring Title will be on the line in the final. Just seems stupid if they get all the belts took off that we are left with 4 new champions 1 person we think is the champion and 5 top contenders with nothing to show

Believe it or not I am a fan of Bika and he would deserve his place in it if one of the others dropped out. Tough nut (although can be a dirty fighter :yep), but he likes a scrap.

Him against Froch would be one to watch.

Although I do hope that no-one does fall out through injury.

One of the Andre's might disappear and that wouldn't be such a bad loss. The other 4 have all mixed it at higher levels and know what's coming.
