    From Steve Kim...

"Bute-Andrade November 28th on Boxing After Dark..somewhere in Canada, according to Richard Schaefer. He told me that there will be an opening bout on the telecast, too

Also, Im hearing that Bute-Pavlik at the MSG in early 2010 is a great possibility, should they both win their upcoming bouts"

    Sounds good to me. :bbb

I hope it's true and not just wishful thinking. Respect for Team Pavlik if they step up for this fight, Bute is fuming over the Tournament anyway, so he would say yes even for a smaller amount of money with Pavlik looking for $2,5M. But if they finally go into a big fight thinking Bute is no danger compared to Abraham - they could be in for a shock. Bute is very good and strong at 168.

Finaly Bute getting exclude of this tournements it's maybe a good thing!

Sure he can't fight the best of the division ( Kessler and Froch ) and unifiy for now but every one else who want to make money at SMW will need to fight Bute wile waiting for the end of that tournement.

Bute vs Andrade could happen in Quebec City. Interbox has been saying how they wanted to have Bute fight over there to expand the QC boxing market

Yes, that is the best possible scenario for both.

Otherwise they will be wandering in the desert for three years wasting their carreers away. No matter who wins they both will come out better than if they just throw three years in the toilet.

Why would Team Pavlik consider someone whith a respectable resume' less of a threat than Abraham?

It's good the fight will happen where people actually care about it.

November 28th is pretty damn far away tho.

There are no top 10 MWs.

The division must be the weakest in boxing outside of the smallest divisions. There are Pavlik (he has normal top 10 level), Mundine (he has normal top 8-12 level), Sturm (he has normal top 10-20 level). All the rest would not be in a top 20 if not for the ridiculously thin and weak division right now. So whoever Pavlik fights it will be a joke.

I mostly agree with you. Hopkins did not rule over a strong division, and neither did Haglar. That's why their best wins were against smaller guys who moved up. However, they obviously did alright for themselves.

Ring Magazine has Williams at #3 at 160, and #10 P4P. That one should be a high priority. After that just clear the deck. After that, Jacobs will be ready, and Andy Lee may still turn into something. Ya see what I'm driving at? Clean out the division a couple times, and the big money and super-fights will come of their own accord.
