if jt messes this up, retirement should be something he should consider. i think he should work with a new trainer that's world class because. i was thinking a good choice would be returning to pat burns, joe goosen, nazim richardson, john david jackson, or roger mayweather. i purposely did not say roach because he sounds like he's swamped and would not have the time to focus on taylor. any other choices for trainers?

I think Jermain needs someone like the "Professor" the guy who used to train Oscar so he can work on his defense. A more defensive Jermain would not tire as much and could shine again. Perhaps Pernell Whitaker

    Joe Calzaghe. I'm serious.

I believe Taylor has enough skill and experience to beat anyone in the tournament. What he lacks is stamina and self belief/heart.

And Calzaghe has both these in spades. If not training then Jermaine should at least take on Calzaghe's training regimen.

Having watched every JT fight for years, i honestly think that no trainer can help him. He is what he is. A guy who just doesn't get it. Not that he's stupid but he just can't apply what he's taught and apply it in the ring. Emmnauel Steward said that JT is an instinctive fighter in that he will do what he's told but as soon as he starts getting hit, all of that goes out the window and he just fights.

He's got very sloppy/heavy feet. I don't think you can change that. His footwork or lackthereof is his main problem. It makes him bad defensively and limits him offensively. If he had shown any decent footwork to sidestep or turn Froch, he would've won easily.

Him always being tense in the ring and wasting a lot of motion is also just natural to him and i doubt any trainer can change that.

I honestly read a statement in an article in a Ring Mag that stated: "Taylor and his wife have discussions on how to summon Killer Intinct"....and the article went on to say: "Couldn't imagine Marvin Hagler having this discussion with his".

What about like a mean ass drill instuctor type, like Ermy was in "Full Metal Jacket"? Somebody tougher than **** on that ass, like not even fair ****in' tough?

You know what I don't know if this person exactly fits a dispriction of the questions I asked you there, and I'm prolly gonna get clowned to **** and back, but what about Anne Wolfe?

Along with Stamina, JT also lacks the Killer Instict. Maybe Wolfe could get JT wantin' to "hurt" somebody?

Right now I'm kind of on an "anbody but Ozell" vibe! It's true that JT did much better in the Pavlik rematch, BUT, he still let Pav dictate the pace and control the center of the ring most of the time, and he still got sucked into a jabbing contest. In the Froch fight he went out in the 11th round and did exactly what Ozell Nelson told him to. He should have been forcing Froch to slow dance, but Nelson told him he needed the last two rounds BIG.

Jermain is now working with Mackie Shillstone, so I say, bring on the rest of the dream team; Nazim and John David.

Nazim, Floyd Sr., or Roger would be good for JT.

I am in agreement with this. Ozell does get something out of Jermain that no one else has been able to get out of him. But i kind of want him to go back to Burns. He had the Pavlik rematch and the Froch fight he just ran out of gas. He needs to get a new conditioning coach or something cuz that is he main flaw.

By the way does anyone know why he left Burns.
