I think it would be a much closer fight than people here are saying (and I'm a big Calzaghe fan). Bute's reach, height and ability to stand beyond range could potentially cause difficulties for Calzaghe.

Bute doesn't throw enough punches for me. He's more defensive and whenever I've seen Calzaghe against a more defensive fighter, he's swarmed them and comfortably won.

You're quite possibly correct. Sadly we'll never know for sure. We may yet get to see Froch smash the **** out of Bute if he gets past Andrade tho :happy

I'll be interesting for sure. I suggest you drop the confidence a bit if you don't want to look like a ******.

tito you seem to give froch no chance against bute....you are a very misguided man froch has every chance of smashing bute to bits...best chance bute has got against froch is to run and hold...

Bute would school Froch painfully. Froch's only hope would be for Bute to tire late and then do an Andrade. Otherwise, Bute by wide UD or even tko.

You are wrong. I give chance to Froch.

YOU give no chance to Bute, like Froch is a boxing genius.

If you can't see who is the better boxer between the 2 than i can't help you.

Better boxer doesn't always win so yes, i give Froch some chances.

ive have never said froch is a boxing genius.....he is a throwback fighter who fights with heart and will fight anyone.you have not seen the best of froch yet.bute has a chance to beat froch but he will have to be on his toes and tie froch up if bute gets in to a toe to toe war froch will bust him up....

Calzaghe wins of course. But why people call Bute a poor man's Calzaghe? Except being southpaws they don't really possess a similar style :huh

Calzaghe with a dominating win. Afterward Bute is a broken man and two years down the line is fighting the likes of Lacy and Peter Manfredo Jr.
