Dunno, Kotelnik ain't much of a puncher and Khan's improved defence meant he didn't take many flush punches. We'll see.

So much for Kotelnik's imported spinach.

    Who's next?

PS: Many thanks to IB for the top updates.

Khan's chin never became a factor. Roach did an amazing job strategically. As much credit as he deserves for the first ten rounds, Khan's lucky - he very nearly gassed and got KTFO.

When used in combination with your avatar, this is the gayest post I had ever seen in the British section.

Well done Khan. That was a good fight and he took the title from the champion.

Khan would make Hatton look worse than that at this point in their careers.

Well done to Khan but is it only me who feels that we didn't really learn anything from that :huh Maybe I'm being harsh but it was a great matchup by Warren.

Warren: "I can't remember in recent memory of a Brit winning a world title as soon as Amir in only 22 fights" (something like that).

    Erm Haye?

Scoring was a joke although Khan did win it by a clear margin. 120-108 though. FFS.

Also, while giving him credit, I wouldn't get too excited.

I had him winner by 3-4 points. Moving backwards and throwing millions of jabs that get blocked doesn't do it for me. I think against a natural come forward fighter he will struggle. I think if he comes up against a bit of a banger he will struggle.

If he comes up against a come forward fighter who can bang a bit I still reckon he's going to be in all sorts of trouble. If Roach and co think he can handle a bang on the whiskers at LWW and if they think he doesn't have to worry about aggressive, hard hitting fighters then how about a defence against Ricardo Torres.

Torres is crude but can bang. Also a former world champion. Decent test. Good scalp if he wins and a good test to pass
