I think Mccloskey would have more than a fair chance of dethroning Khan, regardless of who carries the power.:deal

Because people get ahead of themselves and become presumptuous.
Many will reckon that Hyland will receive an IBF top 15 rank if he beats Herrera(for the IBF International title) but this is far from a guarantee as shown by Paul McCloskey(who won the same title at Light-Welterweight) and many other fighters who gained that belt and yet haven't gained an IBF ranking.

Not to say the IBF won't rank Pajo in the top 15(although it would be a bit of a gift of a ranking if they did), but it's very presumptuous to assume they will.
If he was to be ranked in the top 15 there would be a chance of Hyland getting a title shot as Cruz's team are trying to get as much money as they can from their man and are willing to travel for voluntary defences. Particularly to Europe where they feel they will get big money for easy fights.

However considering Lindsay is the only one of the two ranked by the IBF at the moment(at #6), he's the only one that is an option for Cruz at the moment.

You can say what you like about Khan but he hasn't got much power, he throws flurries that overwhelm with not much on them. People presume Khan must have a decent punch. He looks great on the pads but I aint convinced of his power at all.

i agree with this khan seems to have speed but no power to trouble anyone on the world stage , kotelnick barely had a mark on him , and barrera also said he was feather fisted

To put it another way, I think Paul can hurt Khan more than Khan can hurt him. The shots that put Dean Harrsion down would ko Khan in a second. It would be harder for Mccloskey to get his shots off against Khan but I think he would outsmart Khan eventually with his unorthodox style and then get to him. Just my opinion though:good

How does he get that gig? Hayemaker need to sort themselves out pronto!

Word has it that Haye fight Klitschko on Sept 12th (day of my wedding no less) and I am sure they a few of them will get a run out then

    *****HYLAND CARD UPDATE*****
John Waldron has pulled out of the hyland bill along with Declan Timlin...

Getting a last minute replacement for Jamie Power

Just an awful lack of professionalism from the other 2
waldron has came down with injuries
Declan Timlin Agreed to fight on the card and everything was great but has not answered his phone in weeks so he is ruled out.....

thats all a promoter needs with a week to go to the fight,
other than that everything else is going great, Tickets are flying out the door,
Trust us irish to whip up tickets as soon as a bar in the venue has been confirmed
