He needs to turn his wrist over when he punches, a lot of slaps on Saturday night.
I started off not thinking Gavin was cut out for the pro game and that Saunders was easily the best bet. But Gavin impressed me on Saturday more than any of the others, Saunders' past 2 stoppage wins were a farce, no need for the ref to step in at all and his power looks decidedly average.

I don't think DeGale has ever been put over as an amateur. He has the defensive side down already which is a big big plus.

Degale currently makes ALOT of amateur mistakes. I dont think he has the style to adjust to the pro's and will be matched carefully. Time will tell.

  8. I'm sure I was the only one defending James after his first fight..... I got toattaly ripped apart from everyone on here for doing it... now everyone thinks he's great

I thought he was crap in his first fight. No excuse for that.

Now he seems to have got his head down and improved already. He's not great but I'm definitely feeling more optimistic about his chances now. Onwards and upwards, still a ways to got yet for him and more improvements to be made.
