De La Hoya fought everyone from Super Feather to Middleweight

The one guy he didnt cross swords with though was Winky.

How you feel this one would have gone @ Light Middleweight...........

Yeah right!:rofl:lol: Oscar went life and death with Ike and had trouble with his jab at 147. Against Winky at 154 who is bigger than Ike has a better jab and better defensively he would have hell. There's a reason why Oscar avoided Winky.:deal Winky by UD

In their prime I don't see it like that. But hey, each to their own.

You just happen to be wrong. :rofl

I think if this fight were to play out De La Hoya wins on a controversial decision. Winky then complains and refuses to fight the rematch.

The same DLH that gases in fights is going to outpoint one of the best LMW of all time who throws close to 100 punches a round with a piston jab? Not to mention an impenetrable defense?

You could'nt pay DLH enough to step in the ring with Winky.

De La Hoya wouldn't have been able to solve Wright's jab. He'd be the one getting hit clean more often than not.

    Wide decision imo for WW.

No you're wrong and clearly don't understand match ups. Where does Oscar hold any styles advantages in this fight? Winky clearly holds them all and has more wins over common opponents.

    Winky 2-0 against Mosley
    Winky 1-0 against Tito
    Winky 0-1 against Vargas
    Winky 1-0 against Ike

    Winky 4-1

    Oscar 0-2 against Mosley
    Oscar 0-1 against Tito
    Oscar 1-0 against Vargas
    Oscar 1-0 against Ike

    Oscar 2-3 :hi:

Comparing performances against boxers that both fighters have matched up with achieves little and you know it.

Different fighters react differently. I am merely saying that in their absolute primes I don't think Wright possessed what De La Hoya did.

It is very easy to judge fighters on recent memory and I think a few too many people forget just how good De La Hoya was on his day and in his prime. Better than Wright, in my opinion.

Styles don't matter. Mike Tyson didn't have much of a style, but he still walked through everyone out in front of him for a long, long time.

In the 90s, i think Terry Norris has a case. But Winky's right up there.

Exactly Winky is a top 5 ATG at 154. He's often very underrated here due to his style but in his prime he was something special and would beaten Oscar rather easily.
