Mentally strong - good fighter - improving - alot of promise to be at least European and maybe even World class fighter. He is only 22 years old. Best thing he did was leave Enzo Calzaghe and start training like a proper professional.

Hopefully he will still improve as have been said he is still young, but seems to have his head scewed on properly.

I find it very weird all these people proclaiming that he'll never be world class or that he's a fraud at this stage of his career.

Let's see how he goes from here,if he goes back fighting "Afrobums" I'll be disappointed.

But if he defends the British title a few times against the best domestically then moves on,then I'll say all the best for him and see where it takes him.

Looks the real deal, I'm amazed at how his power has come on over his past few fights

yeah he got out of the Enzo Calzaghe camp long before for example someone like Enzo Macc did. He seems a smart guy and must of realised it was a sinking ship. As soon as Joe Calzaghe retired that camp had the wind taken out of its sails. They all looked up to Joe Cazalghe as a leading light and he gave them the confidence to be over achievers and thats why they did well for a brief period of time. And then it all went tits up.........

I like the look of him. I agree with what was said above, fight the best domestically then move through fighting proper competitors and gaining experience, i feel that there is too much emphasis on being a world champion young, and "padding" careers, when a figher is young there is nothing wrong with gaining experience against quality but not world class opponents

He has a lot of potential but they are going to be forced to take him up to the next level quicker than expected. He has beaten every domestic level Light-Heavy worth beating and only Clinton Woods remains. However, a Woods fight, should he be successful, will take him into the top 10 ratings for most, if not all, of the governing bodies. (I believe Cleverly is already rated number 16 for the WBA.)

I would see if I could get Danny Green over or, although it will appear to be scraping the barrel, Silvio Branco. Both experienced guys who wont just fall over but both very beatable. Then I'd try to get Jeff Lacy, who I can see Jones Jr beating in a few weeks time, and has nothing to worry Cleverly with accept a punch that he hasn't landed properly for nearly 4 years but, most impotantly, gives him a name albeit a ruined one.

After that I'd take him down the EBU route for a couple of fights and then Zolst Eredi for the WBO. After that? We'll know more about Cleverly and will be able to judge him better than.

The recent impovements have impressed me the most........especially the power. I supspect if you had asked the opinions on Cleverly just a few fights ago every poster would have highlighted the complete lack of power, obviously thats not the case now.

I'm very interested to see where his career can move onto. The 175 division in the UK is devoid of boxing talent tbh, some difficult decisions for Warren to make.

Its a big ask for him taking over the Joe Calzaghe shoes. But after Enzo Macc failed to do it - Clevelry is now being hyped by Frank Warren as the new Calzaghe type figure - Wales NO 1 future World Champion. Wether he can live up to that lofty status is something we will find out over the next few years.

im not completely sold on him just yet, he has talent to reach european level but a lot of work is needed for him to get further he seemed to slightly run out of ideas when he couldnt get rid of mcintosh sat night, mcintosh was nothing special so lets see him in there in a tough fight

He was training with Enzo Calzaghes camp and then he left and since then the improvements have be visibly evident that is no concidence.

Good to watch, but all that crap about his degree every time he boxes is a tad annoying.
