All good info lads, I'm going to Vegas for a 'landmark' birthday in a couple years or so and the background is helpful.

In the meantime will be picking up tickets for Froch v Dirrell at the Trent FM Arena Notts when they come out next week I think.

    It'll be 6pm our time & 10am Vegas time.

The scalpers also sweep up the cheap seats & the front block/4 row floor seats on preff, $1000 are harder 2 shift.

You'll get a good ticket NO-PROBLEM, The Vegas economy has been hammered due 2 the recesion & Vegas ai'nt as cheap as it was. Could you imagine Cotto/Margarito only selling 10,000 & 3K of those were comps:huh& the Hatton/Pacman fight never officially sold out till 2 weeks before kick-off time, the scalpers took a hammering on that one as they'd had about 6K + tickets which were dumped on the strip on friday night.

There's no yank fighting here you see & the pino's will all be watching it on a tv on top of the kitchen fridge & you'll proberbly get about 2/3K of Cotto's crew going, the massive majority of Cotto/Pac fans will watch this on PPv. Avoid the corner seats if possible as the MGM allways get stuck with them, these are allways the last 2 go. This fight will take a while 2 sell out.

The section M13 seat row S is a superb seat, great view as your'e dead centre & close enough 2 hear the crash bang wallop. The impression you get from the TV is that you're quite far away from the ring, thats not the case, it's the computor distorting the image 2 whats called infinity.

You'll be mightly impressed, the yanks are tops at these sort of events & the MGM areana is like a mini collisium, eat/booze all around the main concorse, then you step into the areana, ****in awesome & don't forget 2 wave 2 yer mates back home who are sat wiped out with a warm beer & cold Kebab at 5am:lol: your nights just about 2 kick off in style big time.

If yer going clubbing checkout vegas.com for yer cheap club enty VIP passes & all yer can drink for $100 open bar wrist bands. I'am sure there's alot of blokes on here who can give you more info on that score:good

    Thanks Duranimal!!

I went to vegas last year on a hol so i'm aware of the clubbing scene etc & really enjoyed it.

Managed to catch a show while i was there too, it was out in the Primm Valley tho, but me & the lads hired a limo etc & had a laugh!!

Main event was Kid Diamond v Javier Jauregui, but the best bout was Vanes Martirosyan (who was class) v Michael Medina.

Tickets were dead cheap $20 or somethin & we managed to walk ringside & sit with the ring girls & fighters etc ...... Met Bob Arum too!!!

So in your opinion avoid floor tickets & aim for lower / middle tier tickets??

6pm our time should be good, i'll just knock off work early & get them sorted!!!!

    ............. CAN'T ****IN WAIT!!!!!!!

  6. I've been to the Thomas & Mack and MGM Grand, and I'd say there's not really a bad seat in the house. There are good seats, great seats and awesome seats. If you've never been before, you'll be surprised how small the arenas are compared to what you pictured before hand. It was to me anyway. As mentioned before, avoid the floor seats. They are very expensive and the viewing angle is not as ideal as the raised seating. Side seats are the absolute best. One of the ring corners has a **** off big camera mounted on it, so avoid sitting there. Can't remember which corner it is though.

I always purchase my tickets before the trip for peace of mind, yet I always see ticket touts at the venue selling them for half what I paid. I always think to myself, damn I got ripped off - but I'll buy it off these guys next time. Unfortunately that's what I did next time! I bought a fake for $250. Ouch!!

I guess it boil down to whether you want to pay extra for peace of mind and the security of knowing you have a legit ticket, or if you want bragging rights and boast about how you got yours for half price, at the risk of losing it all on a fake.

I went for bragging right and got burned. Next time I'll go for peace of mind.

  7. A word of warning about the strip clubs, in case any of you want to go to one! The taxi drivers are paid comission by the strip clubs to drop their passangers off there. A really shitty dive of a strip club might pay $50, and the best strip club in town might only pay $10. So your taxi driver will say "Don't worry boys, I'll take you to the best place in town; it's awesome!" and he'll take you to the shitty dive bar to collect $50. Meanwhile you're stuck in a sausage fest with the ugliest girls in town. So my advice is to find out where you want to go to first, ask your driver to take you there, and don't be persuaded to go somewhere else. Stick to your guns.

Also know that prostitution, although legal in some parts of Nevada, is illegal in Las Vegas. If a taxi driver offers to take you to a venue where you can have sex, know that they are lying!! Again, they will be collecting a commission, and you will leave disappointed.

Got my tickets yesterday!!!! Good seats too!!!

Anyone who is after them they are on "Pre sale" on ticketmaster, when it asks you for a code put 'pacmancotto' in & you still might have a chance of gettin one before they sell out!! Mostly sold out at the min.

You will have no chance when they go on general sale tomorrow.

Take a look at expedia for a decent benchmark price.. even if the hotel is off strip , they run a bus all day long free (Coast Casinos) Gold coast , Palms, Rio, Bills gambling Hall, Orleans hotel) to the strip and back... its not a problem at all....

I picked up a couple of $750 Cotto - Pac tickets today too. Things are very uncertain at my work but what the hell. I couldn't forgive myself if I never got to see Pac live and this is a guaranteed barnburner with what looks a decent undercard.
