This would be a great fight. Every fight I ever saw Sanders in, it was exciting! Him against Haye would be an up and downer!!
Sanders is like 1000 years old. He got ko'd by osborne machimana in his last fight, I've never even heard of that guy.
I know people try to make Sanders out to be some sort of George Foreman like super puncher that could plow through everything, but for some reason only decided to do it against Wlad. The reality is that Sanders was not a very good fighter. He never was. He's a guy that just happened to beat Wlad once, nothing more and definitely a whole lot less. He lost to Rahman, he had no stamina... many people harp on the "what could have been"... yeah, whatever... I would not favour Sanders much against anybody of note.
Corrie Sanders is only a 30 second per round fighter. Sure during that 30 seconds, he could easily shatter Haye's glass chin all over the ring if Haye makes a mistake (and I believe he would). But inversely and more likely, I could see Haye winning easily by TKO if he fought smart.
Don't know about that but clearly a fit Corrie Sanders would destroy both Klitschkos on the same night as he has already demonstrated that he is a much more natural boxer puncher and better athlete than the two clumsy, stiff, reluctant Bros.
Corrie Sanders has never been fit in the latter part of his career----which made him a devastating heavy handed counterpuncher over 2-max 3 rounds after which he was dead in the water :smoke
Hmmm.... The likelyhood is that Haye would stop Sanders in the middle rounds. But it's not inconceivable that Sanders would catch and stop Haye in the first couple of rounds.
Sanders that beat wlad would've knocked haye cold. Corrie was just as fast and had better power than haye, and a better chin. the only way haye would last rds with sanders is to run. True story!
Sanders was a good fighter with decievingly fast hands and great power with the straight left. When Al Cole jumped up from Cruiser to HW, he fought Sanders in one his first fights at HW. Al had never been down in his professional career and was known to take a good shot. Sanders destroyed him in the first round. He did lose to Rahman, but he had Rahman out on his feet early on. He didn't have the stamina to finish him. Sanders was also mentioned as a possible Tyson opponent at some point. Was Sanders a disciplined fighter? Absolutely not, but to deny the guys talent is a little crazy. That wicked hard, yet surprisingly quick straight left made him dangerous to anyone early on. Not to mention that he had a very sturdy beard.
