recently ive been having trouble going to the gym, usually skipping a day a week. Ive been getting kinda bored of the same routine. I think its because i havent sparred in a while and ive stopped losing weight, but am still overweight. It seems liek im going there for nothing. Is htis just a phase im going thru, haveu guys ever experienced this? Any advice on how to get over it? there is no way im gonna quit, i just need to get the flame back everyone who starts boxing starts with.

Change your routine, no wonder it's get boring. Always watch every now and then a video of your favorite boxer:D

It's a phase you go through. You hit a plateau. Work harder and, like the poster above me mentioned, try adding some variety to your training if possible. Once you passed this phase you'll start getting results again.

Just keep in good spirits, push your limits, train hard, eat healty and you should be able to get over this plateau. And definately change your routine.

im doing better now, i started running, so thats gonna help me lose weight, not to mention its the best time to think about anything. I talked to my coach, and he said i can get sparring more... i sparred last thursday and noticed a big improvement from last time. Also, my coach told me some things i need to work on(getting more light on my feet to move around) so im gonna have more variety in my workout... thanks for all the advice... and yes, i watched rocky which did help lol

Ive been there several times. I think everyone reaches this point in training. I suggest maybe take a week off from going or switch up the routine im not saying add new things neccesarily but change things around alittle make it more intresting or add some rounds and increase the intensity.

    1. May be you can go watch some live boxing fights in your area..

    2. Enroll yourself in some fight in the near future.. Prepare yourself for the up coming fight.. Preparing for a fight should definitly bring the fire back in yourself..

You should probably be taking more than one day off a week anyway
