first of all his got a huge fan base dispite the hate on esb because esb doesnt represent the whole boxing population. secondly i think you should study how the questions are put to him when he answers them then maybe you would understand, sky sports literally say khan if the money is right and blah blah blahhhhhhhhh would you fight hatton even then he didnt call out hatton he said we leave it up to the promoters. get your facts right
Britain has a good amount of decent boxers, but no where near as many and they are no where near as good as the ****s from that country think they are.
Thomaschetwood - I think you're right. My post was a little out of order, as your thread wasn't exactly the retread of 'Yank'-this, 'Yank'-that. I've just gotten weary of seeing the same British threads and posts every week about Yanks rooting for Americans against British while I'm sitting at the computer watching old Calzaghe fights on youtube, as a fan. I've never rooted for an American because he's an American, only because the fighter seems like a good guy- and especially if he's an underdog. (I rooted for Chambers all day against Dimitrenko, for example). I will never root for FMJ unless he fights Satan himself- or David Haye (that was a joke, I think). Anyway, apologies if I offended.
Recently the Brits have been a bit disappointing, Hatton I expected better from against Pac and Froch although he won left question marks, Khan although has a belt now still is a little fragile. There are a few up and comers that may make some noise soon....I like Matt Rogans heart.
In some ways, I think a thread that was in no way xenophobic or nationalistic and was deemed as such, has itself proved a point. That certain people who profess to be pure boxing fans and disinterested in national ferver, are more racist and jingoistic than the people they go out of their way to criticise.
