Is he really that shot or did he meet a supreme guy in Pacquiao on a peak night for him? But the KO loss doesn't help matters - but at least he didn't take a long beating. If the knucklehead can commit to fitness and nutrition when not in training perhaps he can make one last run at something. But all this massive weight gain is simply no good. And I've seen recent images and he is fatter than ever.

Hatton become over the hill after the Mayweather fight. He was done after that fight. It was pretty obvious when he fought Lazcano and was hurt twice in that fight.

:deal I think hatton could still take out most title holders at 140 but he isnt good enough to mix with mayweather, pacquiao and marquez level fighters (doesnt have the skills). Interesting thing i picked up from the mayweather fight though, hatton was actually a much better fighter when working with billy graham. Hatton actually hit mayweather plenty in there fight but nothing super clean.

In my view hatton beats likes of bradley at the moment.

It would seem so, although I think he made the right decision in leaving graham, what with billys injuries, he just made the wrong choice when choosing the style of the new trainer. He went from chalk to cheese so to speak

I think was very effective with billy graham, if only hatton didnt put so much weight on between fights and lived a disclipined life. He would have spent more time training to fight in camps rather than training to get in shape.

He WAS effective under Graham until Billys injuries came into play. Only Hatton and Billy know how much is was effecting there prep. But the fact Billy was needing pain killing injections before sessions speaks volumes

I think mentally he is shot - he was after the Floyd fight.

Physically he is pretty much 100% - granted he has taken a few too many but I don't think he has slipped all that much. His footwork was fine, he never moved his head anyway. If he is going to come back he needs to stay at 147 - or get Kerry Kayes back on board.

he is past his best.....plus the man has takin big shots throughout his whole carear....thaxton was a brutal fight, tackie had a few good shots at hatton, he ate tszyu's murderous right hand with ease, took flush shots from collazo, the mayweather check left hook is one of the best shots i have ever seen.....all that will eventually take its toll...

hatton's offense is still there, manny said so himself, he felt hatton's power and that he is very strong at the weight....

    he is not shot

i agree he looked like **** at the weigh-in from the malginaggi fight to the pac....that shows the lifestyle has caught up with him....plus kayes and graham focused on weight training as well....ricky said after the malginaggi fight that floyd, sr. and beard focused less on the weights....

he needs to dump beard as well...i blame he for the problems in the camp as much as i blem floyd, sr...and maybe even more..

I dont think he is shot, he just falls short against the best p4p of his era.

He certainly isnt shot enough to lose to Amir Khan!!

I don't think he is shot either. He was, against Pacquiao, simply outclassed by the best active guy in the World. There's no shame in that.

However, he isn't getting any younger and his lifestyle choices will always be a major problem. He could probably go on for 2-3 years and beat B level opposition but if he wasn't good enough to beat prime A level fighters in his prime he certainly won't from here on.

Shot my arse.....if he lost to a low tier level guy or we could see huge differences from himw now to his prime then yeah call him shot etc.

What really happend was R. Hatton was a hugely popular figure who came at the right time to fight a few top 140 pounders but get 2 big beat downs by the very very best.

    Great british fighter-

    Average world champion-

Huge commercial success based of created persona and attachment to a football club.

Manny is the best little guy in the world and has balls to fight men far bigger than himself.

Love the little guys especially when a fighter like Manny comes along.......i do think he would not beat Mayweahter or Cotto.

But as shitty as it sounds......the little guys shud be taking big risks and figthing whatever is the most exciting especially considering that average heavyweight like Jammel McCline who makes peanuts would stomp all over them.

That why guys like Floyd Mayweather get such harsh views as he just dosent seek the very best fighters. There is always any angle to it.

Comeon little man floyd........provide boxing with matchups......take on cotto, p. williams, s. mosley and why not just **** it and take on K. Pavlik?

    Provides interest.
