Just discuss, where do you rate him? Who do you see him beating today when he was in his prime? etc.

Top 10 P4P of all time. He would knock the head off of every one today.

I agree. I don't think he anyone would've been able to beat him today.

I rate him around 4 or 5 ATG, the only welterweight-superwelterweight I would see him sttruggle today would be P Will, He would beat both jmm and pacquiao at LW and SLW

I rate him as the best lightweight i've seen and in the top 5 fighters i've seen footage of, last time i did a p4p list he was around 7, i don't think anyone today beats him, though pac and floyd certainly give him a hard night

Duran is one of the best, pound4pound. "Hands of Stone," would have easily destroyed Pacquiao, J.M. Marquez, Mayweather, and Mosley. I could see how a tall, Paul Williams, might give Duran some problems. In the end, the fact that you can place Duran in any generation is enough to call him one of the "all-time greats.":rasta

#1 lightweight, top 10 all time pound for pound.

Now he'd be a strap holder from 135-160 but I don't see him holding belts very long past the 140 mark.

Either 6th or 7th greatest fighter of all-time. The best lightweight ever.

If he was around now, he would molest everyone from 135-154, and would be capable of beating any middleweight on any given night, but unsure if he would have a long reign there as in all fairness he was too small to be a middleweight champion.

The Duran of the Brawl In Montreal absolutely decimates Mayweather at 147. He beats Floyd at any weight.

i dont think anyone in history "easily destorys" any of these fighters. he arguably beats them all but you should appreciate the greats of this generation as well. as for the original question, he is a bit outside the top ten for me and prob number two at lightweight behind joe gans.

    Top 10 P4P
Best lightweight ever H2H (his accomplishments at the weight aren't as impressive as a few others)

Top 5 P4P all time. A prime Duran was the most vicious and ruthless champion ever.

In my biased opinion, the best of all time.
