Kevin Mitchell Heads to Hollywood to train with Roach

Good move. I like Mitchell and I think training with Roach can only help him. Not to mention the sparring would do him a world of good aswell. Maybe Roach could teach him a bit of defence.

 

Is he actually Danny Dyer? I remember that conversation on here and, you are correct, he got really defensive when Dyer was brought up:think. Anyone know he did a Coca Cola advert once upon a tme?

I like Mitchell.... he is a good kid who can prosper well under Freddie Roach.. I think that been with Cook has done him well, certain coaches like in many other sports can only take you to a certain level and then you must move on to someone else who can get you to the next level...Freddie Roach must see something that he can work with.... I think that Mitchell just going across to America and getting away from London will be good for him to focus... I hope that he does well...:bbb

DGlassJaw posted some videos of him and praised him highly. He knows him personally.

He's a 6ft Batamweight who's turned pro with Mr Fearon as his promoter.

Didn't know who he was either so you're not alone there! I don't follow the amateurs so I'm not too hot on ones that turn pro unless it's on the back of the olympics- like Khan or Sutherland et al.

 

im not junior saeed ,like i told you in your pm...if you want to meet me let me know when you are going to the gym.....I'm a keep fitter now so dont train all the time...not fair the lad getting accused for the stupid comment i made ..saw the lad training and thought this kids got it all ....off cause i regreat making that remark...not a nice thing to say ...if i see the mitchell brothers i will offer my applogies ,i might get a right hand,but have to take it like a man....think i might crawl back under the rock i came from....wont be posting anymore....oh leave danny dyer out of this though.

 

good to see this thread is now getin some good posts from genuine esbposters ,i saw mitchell today funnily enough at the pie and mash in the heathway so he certainly aint at roachs yet what i did notice was his wrist/hand wasnt bandaged so reports of it being broken now look incorrect,i for one hope he does move to la and then gets a title shot in the staes as imrunningout of excuses/reasons to give my wife for me keep pissing off to vegas

 

Do you know how the move came about, mate? It's an incredible decision and has come out of the blue, really. Going by their relationship I'm guessing there's nothing sour between Cook and Mitchell but it would be interesting to know more about how the move come about.
