I don't believe the Margarito input would be relevant for all the controversy about that fight.

in the upcoming months im going to do more research on this fight as far as the matchup goes...

but i think as long as cotto keeps his hands up, walks pacman down...the fight should be in his hands more than anything else

Cotto is going to look good early on(like always) until Pac gets comfortable and makes adjustments....with the fight being fought at such a high pace in the early rounds by the 5th or 6th Pac will be able to start breaking him down and pretty much cruise to a UD(unless Cotto can KO him inside of 6)

At first I thought the same thing, but watching Cotto's fights I saw he can gets hit with the straight left hand soo easy and thats Pac best puch...add that with blistering speed and its goona be a ruff fight for Cotto

i think it would be the other way around.... pacman comes out fast as **** in the start and nobody is used to his movements... after the first 1 or 2 rounds people adjust a bit...

if cotto lets pacman get off first and cotto doesnt use his jab he's in for a long one

but if cotto keeps his hands high uses his jab to get in and doesnt get wreckless he should win

Maybe because even if they wanted to, it was just not easy to do. All of Pac's opponents knew about his speed, i think its the main thing his opponents train for. Then the POWER, they've heard about his power, which lead to them being overly cautious. While some of his last opponents said that Pac's power isnt all that, they readily admit that his speed was actually faster if you were in the ring fighting him.
Pac got hit a couple of times in his latest fights, i think he handled them pretty well.

Me personally i fancy Cotto , but you cannot count a Pacquiao victory out why ?????? :

Because Pacquiao's upper body movement and unpredictable attacks will be very hard for Cotto deal with , Pacquiao moves like no other fighter he throws punches from odd angles at lighting fast speed , the pace he sets is relentless to say the least , Cotto does struggle with pressure fighters and when Cotto is not allowed to fight at his pace he backs up in straight lines and Pacquiao loves people who back up in straight lines .

The question is will Pacquiao hit Cotto hard enough to stop him in his tracks if not then he is in trouble , Cotto while skill full is not a quick WW , he has had trouble with the quicker fighters in the past not major trouble but enough to suggest Manny with his speed could cause him great problems .

To say Pacquiao has no chance of stopping Cotto is very narrow minded and quite frankly wide of the mark .

For me Cotto is favourite but Manny does have a good chance .

There is an element of truth in that , but you make it sound too easy , Pacquiao does not get hit !!!! , its that simple and while you are launching your offensive he is tagging you , then once he has tagged you he launches his own offensive and this repeats for 12 rounds .

There is no one Cotto can spar with to mirror what Manny does , he is unique , Cotto being a natural SP will not circle onto Manny's danger hand the way Hatton did , but DLH is also a natural SP and Manny found a home for that rear hand all night .

I like Cotto in this fight i do , but you are really underestimating Pacquiao , big time .

Why is everybody forgetting how easy Pac man is to hit as well. Never has Pac been confused with a fighter that has great defense. I agree Cotto will be there to be hit, it's part of his style he will take some to give some back. What fight did Pac all of a sudden have good defense? Marquez hit Pac early and often even out landing Pac in punches landed in both their fights. I know Pac didn't get hit in the Diaz or De la hoya fights but that was due to who he was fighting. Hatton was a good win ut the signs that Hatton was shot were there. Anytime Pac has been in there with good fighters he is there to be hit. Cotto and Pac both get hit a lot which is why we know this fight will have fire works.

I agree with you, any other WW (or SWW) would have been out from the amount of clean powerful blows to the head that Margarito took from Cotto in that fight. People say that Margo was landing at will on Cotto, he was also taking a pounding on his face while he was throwing. If Cotto is so easy to hit, how come Mosley, one of the fastest WW out there couldn't land shots at will?

Only Pac has been KO between the two in this fight. I want to see how Pac handles Cotto power to the chin and body. Cotto has taken some bombs from Mosely, Judah, Margarito and took it all in stride. Pac has never faced a fighter with the power of Cotto and Pac has been hurt before so the question is will he be hurt again. If he took those shots from Mosely I think he can take them from Pac. I could see Cotto being stopped on cuts but not knocked the **** out.

I agree....Even if Pac hurts Cotto with a single shot he cant just run in and attack because Cotto never stops punching even if hes hurt and Cotto definatly has the power to KO Pac
