David Haye seems to think he's the second coming. I guess beating a shot Mormeck and an average guy like Maccarinelli can give a guy an ego. The whole "Haye ruined Enzo" argument doesn't fly with me.

 

Toney was WBC mandatory when he challenged Rahman. He got draw and was promised next shot after Rahman vs. Maskaev fight.

However Toney voluntarily but his mandatory position on the line against Sam Peter and senile judges robbed him.

Toney was elevated to mandatory because of his self promotion, Maskaev had won the mandatory eliminator and was the top rated opponent at the time till Toney leapfrogged him do to his promoter. Maskeav had legit grounds to sue for sure, but he waited and let the Toney Rahman fight take place and fought the winner. The thing that burns me is that after he patently let Toney get his shot first, peope had the gall to say that Maskeav didn't earn it and was just getting in the way of legit competors fighting for the title. Guess he shut them namesayers up quickly.

Haye was a voluntary defence meaning the Klits could dictate pathetic terms. All other recent fights they've had have been mandatory defences, meaning that the ABC organisations ran the rule over what was fair for the mandatory opponent.

In short, the Klits tried to rip Haye off in everything they could. If and when he wins the WBA strap and has even more bargaining power, the terms will be fairer. Do the maths.

Klitschko vs Ibragimov was a voluntary fight.

Klitschko vs Chagaev was a voluntary fight.

Ibragimov brought the WBO belt to the table. Chagaev brought The Ring Magazine belt to the table. Both of those fighters management said K2 was very easy to work with.

Haye brings NOTHING to the table so that is why he is not getting as much as some of his delusional fans think he should. Klitschko was the one with something to lose not Haye. Haye had a free shot at BOTH Klitschko's and faked an injury to get out of one fight and then took an easier opponent instead of facing Vitali. Many Boxing writers have said Booth and Haye are out of theor league when it comes to negotiating for a fight. It is not just people on internet message boards. Haye negotiated his deal with Wlad. He has nobody to blame but himself.

If you don't bring anything to the table you are going to get payed that way.

He was offered terms like any other mandatory challenger was offered. Haye knew that from the start when he started taunting the Klitz by going after them like a psychopath stalker. He knew he was going to be a voluntary challenger who has to swallow inferior terms. None of what he was presented with came as a surprise to him.

As for Haye bringing nothing to the table, HBO wanted the fight with Wlad- they didn't want the Chagaev fight:think. Pre controversial T-Shirt, ticket sales were slow. Post T-Shirt the stadium was sold out. How many British fans bought tickets and travelled, Rico:think? How many people were in the stadium Haye helped to sell-out compared to MSG against Ibragimov? Haye brings an awful lot more to the table than you're prepared to accept it as, once again, you leave out facts.

Haye is taking a fight with Valuev and if he wins he will bring something to the table ie: the WBA belt. If Haye beats Valuev he will get credit from me especially if it is by KO since nobody has been able to do it yet. I have no problem with Haye fighting Valuev I think it will be an interesting fight.
